전체 평가 및 리뷰 Rising Sun Hotel by Greene King Inns

Rising Sun was perfect for our one night. We are at the tail end of a 30 day trip and chose Cheltenham because it was close to Sudely Castle and Gardens. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and the bathroom was fine. Bar and restaurant were great and the views were INCREDIBLE. If back in the area I would stay again.

The view from reception was amazing

Great views from the bar and garden, and perhaps some rooms though not ours as we were facing out the back. Rooms are clean and functional but nothing to write home about, with bathrooms not dissimilar to the toilets in a school 20 years ago. Nevertheless, a good night's rest and great location if you're playing golf and the nearby Cleeve Hill golf course.

Very comfortable

Situated in a lovely location. It’s owned by a chain so I had the exact same menu as my previous nights stay. All in all it was very good. Clean, attentive staff.

We were pleasantly surprised at the Beautiful views. The dinner was good, and the lady that checked us into the hotel was very helpful. Yes it's an older building, but the rooms were clean. The room we were in did not have AC, but there was a fan. We were there in May so it wasn't real warm, so just be aware of that, if you are there in summer.

Overnight stay. Saturday night restaurant very busy so had to eat at the bar, not ideal but one of those things.

This is by far one of the worst hotels i have stopped in. Check in was very abrupt. Got to room, toilet hadnt been cleaned and had faeces marks up both sides of the toilet. Room smellled very damp and had brown marks all over the carpet. Freezing cold, asked.for a portable heater and they didnt have one. Slept in my clothes and hat as was so cold. Beds very uncomfortable and one had a choc under it to stop it rolling about as the room was very uneven. Not very good for someone not good with balance!Massive dog roaming the hotel! Bags of rubbish left outside three rooms all the time we were there. Will definitely not be returning. Didnt have breakfast so cant comment on the restaurant

Not the most expensive hotel in the area but you get what you pay for. Comfortable bed and friendly enough staff. Paid extra for breakfast but didn’t realise that it started at 0800 and I had to leave at 0730. No refund offered but was offered some croissants if I wanted them. My mistake not theirs. Probably wouldn’t stay here again as I found a nice hotel five miles further up the road and only £30 more than the stay here.

Perfect spot for Cotswold way walkers.

A warm welcome from the Reception lady, who quickly got me checked in and was very helpful. Comfortable room, plenty of space and room for hanging clothes up. Nice restaurant with lots of food and drink options, the waiting staff were friendly and efficient. Nice walks from the door.

Pleasant enough but the hotel was a bit tattered and torn and scud do with a refresh

Overnight stay whilst seeing friends locally. Great views and I’m sure a lovely Xmas venue Rooms a little tired and ensuite the same but warm, nice towels, hot shower and reasonable price.
