I had an incredible experience at Nueva Pension Real. It’s quite the hidden gem in a very unassuming spot, amid local restaurants, other apartments and neighbourhood amenities. I truly felt like I experienced a little bit of Spanish life in Santander, especially with Mariana’s recommendations! I loved my room so much as well, especially that the shower and sink was in the room. The whole hostel is bright and updated with just the right amount of comforts added to allow a great stay. Time of my life, I would definitely stay again.

Great location. Great room. Great host. Sketchy stairs. Not for the elderly or handicapped.

Travelled solo. Felt very safe. Certainly get your daily steps in up and down the stairs. Staff were lovely. Would definitely stay again

Stayed for four nights after walking a section of the Camino Norte. Great communication prior to arrival and a very warm welcome from the host. This is a fantastic pension, centrally located, spotlessly clean and with a really cool design that you maybe don't expect from the very modest exterior. Located right beside the market and in walking distance to all the major sites - would definitely return when back in Santander

Beautiful room, with a nice modern bathroom. Unfortunately the wifi didn't work at any point and air conditioning or a fan would have been welcome as an alternative to opening the windows, since the streets were quite noisy. But all in all a pleasant stay

I had booked two nights in the beginning, but decided to stay for two more. The rooms are modern, comfortable and spotless, and the location are superb - not only for proximity to the bus- and train station. The owner Mariana is extremely helpful, and it is obvious that she is passionate about providing the best stay possible for her guests. Highly recommended.

Clie to Camino, bus and train stations. Incredible communication with owner, bus arrived early, I was welcomed. Easy to explore city, landmarks, beaches, restaurants, stores. I stayed 2 days and it was so relaxing! Quiet yet spacious room with balcony overlooking Mercado.
