This location is fairly new in an up and coming location near La Fortuna center. The facility was great. Very spacious for a family of four (parents and two teenagers). The staff was awesome. Helped set up an itinerary and have everything taken care of for us. Of the 5 days of events, 3 of them provided transportation directly from Bauma to the location. They did offer full transportation but we wanted to explore. UBER is illegal there, but you can use it. You just have to have someone ride in the front seat. All of the locations that Bauma suggested were great. These included a floating raft tour, a full day combination tour including ending at a hot springs and an ATV tour. If you rent a car like we did, just be prepared for a "White Knuckle" drive through the mountains to get to La Fortuna.

We had a wonderful one week stay at Bauma. The property feels practically brand new and the staff was helpful when we had questions.

The villa had 3 rooms/2baths and kitchen w a private pool. Amazing property! The modern ethnic decor was impeccable. Love this accommodation in La Fortuna, definitely worth it! Easy to use Uber to restaurants 3-5min away

The room was well maintained and very comfortable. Clean and updated. I would absolutely stay here again. The concierge was super helpful! They reached out to me a little over a week before my trip and helped me to book my shuttle service, excursions and make dinner reservations. 10/10 Would recommend!

The room was tight for 2 people. Design of the room was great with private Jacuzzi and 2 private outdoor sitting areas. Staff was great. It was clean and well equipped

Property is very new and staff and very friendly and quick to assist. Loved that a washer and dryer were included

New property. Everything is great near perfect. Due to the weather, we did t get the chance to enjoy the pool that much but it looks great though. Full size kitchen is very convenient. Don’t have front desk which is perfectly fine for us, checking in and out is super easy.

The furniture and space was nice and comfortable.

Loved this property! Perfectly appointed with beautiful design with a minibar, amazing artwork and a sitting area. The open air shower was amazing hearing nature, birds and rain showers. The hot tub was a nice touch. Onsite security staff made me feel safe. Lastly, great location minutes from restaurants in La Fortuna. Take the chocolate and coffee tour, which is just across the street. This accommodation was amazing!

The volcanoes are VERY visible from the parking lot. It was quiet. Clean. And staff responded fairly quickly when messaged.

The hotel is excellent and comfortable

Very close to everything in La Fortuna. Property is new and beautiful. We have Villa 2 with its own pool. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Just far enough remove to be quiet. Do the coffee tour right across the street. Kitchen is well equipped.

beautiful place, wonderful and helpful staff. We had a few additional requests and they went out of their way to help us and made it a beautiful stay. We will bring other family here! Very impressed.

Our stay with a group of 4 was excellent. The property is exactly as shown and described in the pictures. Staff were nice, friendly and responsive. Location was nice and just a short drive to La Fortuna centre strip. Would highly recommend.

Signage could have been better. No reception for check in. No bar. No response to WhatsApp questions. Road noise high. But, delightful rooms with everything needed if you want to come and stay put.

Muy recomndable, la propiedad está nueva y la habitación es muy cómoda. El cuarto tiene una pequeña parrilla eléctrica, un microondas y un refrigerador. Te dejan un poco de café, hielos, azúcar y sal, por lo que puedes desayunar en el cuarto fácilmente. Había leído en una reseña que no había nadie, pero no es preciso. Te dejan la llave en una pequeño compartimento en la entrada de la habitación, pero hay una persona vigilando 24/7, quien te puede ayudar en caso de dudas. Nos atendió como concierge Diana, de manera virtual vía WhatsApp, quien nos ayudó a reservar unas entradas de último momento en un parque y fue muy amable y atenta durante nuestra estancia. Tiene estacionamiento y creo que es fundamental rentar un coche para moverse en Arenal (y en general en CR), pues las distancias a las atracciones y restaurantes no están a walking-distance y ayuda a tener más autonomía. Aunado a que no se ve muy amigable para caminar de noche pues está muy oscuro el camino para llegar al hotel y te puede salir un animal. La tina de hidromasaje maravillosa y desde la planta alta del cuarto se puede ver el volcán del Arenal (si no está muy nublado). Muy grata experiencia.

Loved this hotel. Pretty centrally located only a $3 uber ride from the town center. We walked over to the North Fields coffee and chocolate tour which was only a few yards away from the hotel. The team was super responsive through WhatsApp to any issues we had. The rooms are so cute with a hot tub right on the patio. The regular rooms have two viewing areas with one facing the volcano, although the access to them is outside, so not ideal when it’s raining but like whatever it’s the jungle. We ended up getting upgraded to the villa which wow. It has a pool and we had a little frog jump in with us. I would definitely stay here again and bring some friends to really appreciate what the villa has to offer…

This property is amazing. Six individual lofts with two private terraces to enjoy a morning cup of coffee and watch the mist over the vulcano (back terrace) or bask in the rising sun and sounds of the surrounding birds and wildlife. The grounds are perfectly manicured and the foliage creates privacy and a feeling of being in nature. I am squirmsh about bugs and critters, but there were virtually no bugs and I saw mostly beautiful, unique birds while there. It was close to everything. We walked to breakfast and the supermarket. Dinner was a 5-10 minute drive to some truly delicious, world-class food by any standards. La Fortuna is truly is a special place. And Bauma makes the experience unforgettable. One thing that could be improved is the signage of where to enter and exit wasn't clear. Thankfully, we were never exiting or entering at the same time as another car, otherwise one of us would have had to reverse down a very narrow, foliage-covered driveway. It's a tiny thing that can easily be remedied with clearer signage, so it didn't detract from our stay and we are already planning to come back.
