Staff very welcoming and friendly, the room was great,food great and having your breakfast delivered to your room a nice little extra

Really nice pub and hotel, the room was spacious (we were a family of 4), nicely finished and modern. Room was well priced. Location is good, off the A66, near Richmond, Scotch Corner and A1. Very close to Mainsgill farm shop which is definitely worth a visit. Breakfast is a basket brought to the room, although a cooked breakfast might be nicer, breakfast was nice.

The staff, especially Lucy were outstanding and could not have done enough for us. The location is good for exploring and the breakfast is an added bonus.

Quick check in, we asked for a room at the back, we were given room 8. Nice room, comfy bed, pillows a little flat. Lovely shower room with waterfall shower, nice toiletries. It was a very hot day when we checked in, so the room of course was hot, we opened the windows. Had our meal in the hotel, we shared a ploughman's platter with a couple of extra sides which was very nice. Also bought a bottle of wine. We sat outside after the meal to look at the lovely view. We'd brought an extra fan so slept pretty well. We chose our breakfast the night before, which was delivered at our chosen time. As the weather was good again, sat outside with it. We both had the overnight oats with fruit, l prefer mine with yoghurt, but we also had cereal, a croissant, juice and a banana. Missed having a tea or coffee with it. Good stay.

Nice clean property, bit different.

They have got so many things right, which makes for a very enjoyable stay! Clean, friendly, comfy big bed, nice large towels, nice locally produced amenities and excellent value for money. Won’t hesitate to tell others about this place and we’re very happy to return

A really warm welcome from staff for us and our dog. Small but comfortable room with loads of things for our dog too. Lovely breakfast brought to the door each morning. Only problem we had was struggling with the front door lock each morning when letting the dog out, it was a worry if there was a fire as it took a couple of minutes until we could get out

Nce room but very warm in recent weather & bathroom window was locked could not open unbearable in bathroom. Need a parasol for sitting outside nice veiws .

Stayed for three nights. Very comfy bed. Helpful staff. TV not working when arrived. New one ordered and fitted the next day!! Excellent food. Continental breakfast served in a hamper each morning. Dinner menu refreshingly different!!!

A very good three nights there. Comfortable room. Breakfast in the bedroom wasn't expected but was still ok. Good staff and enjoyable stay.

Lovley room. Staff all lovley. Would suggest some slip mat in Bath. Breakfast was good. Would stay again.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel, staff were lovely and let us check in early as we had a wedding. The bed was comfortable, large bathroom with bath and separate shower. Tea, kettle and biscuits provided and breakfast was delivered to our room at a time suitable to us. We would definitely recommend and will return in the future should we need too. Slightly noisy with being on the road but nothing can really be done to help that.

The room was a good size with a nice ensuite, clean and modern. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Would recommend.

Very reasonable price, decent amount of parking, easy and quick road access to places like Richmond, the room and bathroom were a good size as well as clean, comfy and well equipped. The pub/restaurant itself had a nice, stylish but homey interior with really lovely staff and nice food. The only point to note is that the hotel is off the a66 so although it reduces a lot over night, there is road noise. However the double glazed windows help and for anyone more sensitive to noise, a good pair of foam ear plugs did the trick for me. I would stay again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Large spacious well equipped bedroom with all the amenities that you would need. Maybe could do with a coffee table to eat your breakfast hamper off and a hook on the back of the bathroom door A wonderful stay and very good value for money.
