Staff helpful and accommodating. Room could have done with more accessible plug points. A lovely stay, though a pity there was no evening meal on offer due to staff availability. Would recommend a lovely spot to stay if walking Hadrian’s wall.

Good place to stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Be careful where booking stays twin/double bed. Make sure it is what you want.

Staff were very helpful, room was clean, breakfast was awesome and they coped with me being vegan. Husband loved the Timothy Taylor landlord ale, Wasn't noisy , beds were comfy

Food was poor. A number of items were not available, choice was very limited, breakfast was inedible. The bar shut very early even to residents and the hotel was locked up ridiculously early on a beautiful summers evening. The property was very clean but in severe need of upgrading. We gather it is changing hands, which may be responsible for the problems we had, but it cannot be a bad thing.

Hot water was scarce when we arrived and had a shower, but nice and hot in the morning. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy, extra blankets provided were very much welcome. Checkin was fabulous with extremely helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was awesome. Highly recommend.

Room was good, exceptionally clean and the staff were great, very friendly and super helpful. For the basics and budget stopover this place is perfect, such a beautiful part of the world too.
