Parking was wonderful but breakfast changed from 09.00 to 11.00 must be reversed back to 09.00. A lot of people are not happy with this changes. Nobody wants to be hanging about due to work starting 09.00 away from the the hotel. 11.00 does not make any sense. I love this Royal Alfred and it's the best in the area. Thank you Emilia.

Our room was , fresh and very clean. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of fluffy towels a large flat screen t.v. iron, ironing board etc.tea and coffee and bottled water.Also considering that there is a very busy pub right next door to the building were our room was, it was very quiet and we had a peaceful, comfortable nights sleep. If there was a downside I would say, the internet was not the best speed and maybe some snack packs of biscuits could have been provided for the room price charged, but overall, we were pleased and will stay their again for sure.

No comment re staff as didn’t see any. Room very good Parking appreciated Tad noisy but they gave us earplugs. Would go on second floor next time

The rooms are above The Royal Alfred pub. An entry code is sent to you to gain access to the property and room. Staff are at hand in the pub should you need them. I didn’t have any problems accessing the room. My room was large with a King Bed. It was spotlessly clean. I was only staying for one night but would quite happily stay for longer in the future. The accommodation is a 20m walk from St Helens rail station so getting around is easy. The pub itself was busy but you couldn’t hear any noise from it in the room.

The room was beautifully decorated with a nice, clean bathroom. The bed was super comfy. The staff were lovely in the pub below. 10/10 breakfast.

Lovely clean room. Quiet. Parking. Great location. The only thing that let it down for me was breakfast wasn’t being served in the pub the rooms are part of till after 11 (which was changed from the advertised 9/9.30).

Room was lovely and very quiet considering the location. We were in a second floor room and the ceiling was a bit low for my 6'4" partner but everything was perfectly clean and very very comfortable. Not being able to get breakfast as the pub didn't open until half an hour after check out on a sunday was a bit of a pain. Luckily close to a few cafe's and other options so we managed. No option to store luggage that we were told about but we were only there a night so not really an issue for us and in fairness we didn't ask. We had dinner at the pub and it was good but the service was a little slow- it did seem to be very very busy so we might have just had bad luck. I did manage to break my foot after bumping into the end of the bed during the night so maybe keep a light handy and watch where you're going like I obviously didn't!!

Room was clean with all that you need - I would not stay again as quite the drive from ANFIELD - my frustration is with hotels.com as they proved to be dishonest when their team assured me that a discount would be reinstated and then this did not happen …

Room was booked 24hrs prior to visit. Room was great. Staff were very friendly. Locals equally welcoming. Lovely bar area with ample seating. Didnt get to enjoy breakfast due to needing to rush over to Lime Street to spend the rest of the day travelling home. However what was seen coming from the kitchen looked delicious!!

Great place to stay, very clean and organised and was very cosy. Bar staff respectful and accommodating and the room service/ organisation of the place was great would recommend.

Room really clean and fresh, clean bedding and towels, key pad doors so was text numbers. Did not speak to any staff.

Rooms are absolutely gorgeous, beds are comfy and the TVs are massive. Pubs great staff are lovely and the breakfast is fantastic. And they provide earplugs with the room too as its right over the pub and opposite the train station so no noise disturbances.

Everything was new and the accommodation was fantastic. Everywhere was very clean, and the pub was friendly and spotlessly maintained. It’s an ideal place to stay when working in the area. I will definitely stay again next time I’m in the area.

We were really impressed by both the rooms and the pub itself. Beautifully renovated to create a comfortable and memorable stay. Emilia, Paul, and the team couldn’t have been more welcoming. Live music (earplugs provided). Across the road from the station (live train times in pub). Even thoughtful enough to have a cooking room with oven, hob and fridge etc for guests. Would definitely stay again.
