Where is Singapore National Stadium?

Singapore National Stadium is located within the Singapore Sports Hub in Kallang, in the central-eastern part of Singapore. The Sports Hub is a fully integrated complex that connects the stadium directly to the Kallang Wave Mall via covered walkways, making it one of the most accessible major venues in the city. Multiple MRT lines and bus routes serve the precinct, and the nearest station is Stadium MRT on the Circle Line, which opens directly into the complex.

Getting to Singapore National Stadium by MRT

The MRT is the fastest and most reliable way to reach Singapore National Stadium on concert nights. Singapore's network is dense and air-conditioned throughout, and several stations provide direct or near-direct access to the Sports Hub precinct. Top up your contactless transit card before the day of the concert to avoid long queues at top-up machines.

Stadium MRT (Circle Line, CC6) — The Closest Station

Stadium MRT on the Circle Line is the station built specifically for this precinct, with exits that lead directly into the Kallang Wave Mall and the Sports Hub complex. It is the most direct option for fans coming from the city centre, Orchard, or any other station on the Circle Line. From Dhoby Ghaut interchange the ride takes approximately 8 minutes, and from Harbourfront approximately 13 minutes. Follow the stadium signage as you exit and you will be at the venue entrance within a few minutes of leaving the platform.

Tanjong Rhu MRT (Thomson-East Coast Line, TE23)

Tanjong Rhu station on the Thomson-East Coast Line is approximately 350 metres from the Sports Hub entrance, a sheltered 9-minute walk. This is the most convenient option for fans travelling from the Woodlands, Stevens, and Orchard Boulevard corridor, or for those arriving from Marina Bay on the Thomson-East Coast Line. The line also connects directly from Changi Airport, making this a practical route for international fans heading straight from the airport to the stadium area.

Kallang MRT (East-West Line, EW10)

Kallang station on the East-West Line is approximately 600 metres from the Sports Hub, connected via a covered walkway that takes around 13 minutes on foot. This route is most useful for fans coming from Pasir Ris, Tampines, or Changi Airport on the East-West Line. Change at Tanah Merah if arriving from Changi Airport, then ride toward Joo Koon and alight at Kallang.

Mountbatten MRT (Circle Line, CC7)

Mountbatten station, one stop from Stadium on the Circle Line, is also a 600-metre walk to the Sports Hub. Some fans prefer to alight here on the return journey after the show, as the crowd at Stadium MRT can be very heavy immediately after the final act and the short walk to Mountbatten often results in a faster platform wait.

MRT Tips for Concert Night

Plan to arrive at least 90 minutes before the 7:00 PM show time. Stadium MRT will be heavily congested in the 30 to 45 minutes before showtime and for at least an hour after the concert ends. After the show, consider walking to Mountbatten or Tanjong Rhu instead of rejoining the queue at Stadium MRT — both options add only a short walk and can save a significant wait on the platform.

Getting to Singapore National Stadium by Bus

Several public bus services stop directly outside the Sports Hub complex. Bus stop 80219 at National Stadium is served by services 10, 14, 14A, 16, 16M, 70, 70A, 70M and 196. Bus stop 80211 on the opposite side of the road is served by services 10, 14, 16, 16M, 70, 70M and 196. Both stops are approximately a 3-minute walk from the stadium entrance. Check your route planner ahead of the concert to identify which service runs nearest to your starting point.

Getting to Singapore National Stadium by Taxi or E-Hailing

Taxis and e-hailing services are a convenient option for groups or fans who prefer a door-to-door journey. The designated drop-off zone is within the Sports Hub precinct. On concert nights, expect higher fares from e-hailing apps during the two hours before showtime and well into the night after the show ends. For the return journey, walking a few minutes away from the main stadium exits before requesting a pickup will significantly reduce your wait, as vehicles cannot easily access the drop-off zone when large numbers of fans are leaving simultaneously.

Getting to Singapore National Stadium by Car

Parking is available within the Sports Hub complex and at the nearby Kallang leisure park. On concert nights all parking areas fill quickly, and traffic along Stadium Boulevard and Nicoll Highway slows considerably in the hour before showtime. If driving, aim to arrive at least 90 minutes early to secure a bay without stress. Waiting 30 to 45 minutes inside the complex before driving out after the show typically results in a much faster exit than leaving immediately with the main crowd.

International fans who want a rental car for exploring Singapore around the concerts can book a car rental on Traveloka with collection arranged at Changi Airport.
