This hotel is was lovely find. Recently under new management it is a work in progress regarding opening the Bistro but hopefully it will open soon.. My room was upgraded from standard to a very spacious room with a separate bedroom and a spa.
Very clean, very comfortable and unexpectedly quiet. I was on the ground floor facing Blackburn Rd, however there is a very solid concrete fence that provided an excellent buffer between the room and the traffic. It must be said there are a lot of rooms that do no face Blackburn Rd - if you prefer. The staff were very helpful and advised me that they are gradually upgrading the rooms but to my mind my room was perfect as it was. For the price a stay at the The Gateway Hotel, Blackburn Rd, Notting Hill is value for money. Safe, clean - quiet, a comfortable oasis in a very busy area. I highly recommend this Hotel - I will be back. Helen.

Been staying here a few times. I come back because it is peaceful, free parking and the staff are very accommodating. It is walking distance to the Sunny Dumpling House (highly recommended) and a service station for other necessities. They allowed a late checkout without charge and are friendly and courteous. Highly recommend staying here. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We chose this motel because we did not want be on a busy road with traffic noise. We got that but what we did not expect to be on the bottom floor of a 2 story motel where we could clearly hear the people in the room upstairs walking back and forth and dropping stuff and filling and emptying their spa and flushing their toilet well into the early hours of the morning. Not what we wanted after travelling 5 hours from NSW for an appointment and having to travel back next day with no sleep. Went to reception to tell them about it and to get our receipt but after ringing the bell and waiting 10 minutes, no-one appeared. Also shower is placed over the spa. NOT SAFE if you're climbing out of the spa, all wet, on slippery fibreglass. WILL NOT BE BACK AND DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Amenities, no microwave fridge not defrosted..
Pool and sauna and spa all not clean or working and no privacy in pool area anyway due to the Trees being completely cut.
Bar and bistro not open.
The furniture could be cleaner .
High speed wifi but the TV is not smart TV and there is no way to cast in or login into streaming.such as Netflix , Binge etc.
When we first got there we had to change rooms due to the dirty linen , rubbish left behind, lamp broken and spa bath not cleaned.
Court yard around pool dirty and not cleaned at all with chlorine it was green.and leaves and dirt on bottom of Pool floor, including filter broken and jets do not work in both pool and spa, which was dirty as well .
Button on soa not working.
I felt we should been compensated for the 3 night trip.

I stayed here as my daughter was having surgery nearby. It was convenient to the hospital. It was a comfortable stay and room facilities were all in working order. Value for money. It was not expensive. A convenient place to stay
