Felt like home in my spacious double room. The kitchen has been excellent communal space I enjoyed much. The building was classic beauty and i love it. I will be back.

環境非常舒適而且乾淨，雖然兩人房的空間比較狹小，但公共空間相當大，還有一個漂亮的露台區可以看風景，整體的風格很漂亮，坐落的位置剛好是知名的一個景點區，附近的環境非常的優美，也有很多好吃的小店餐廳，是一個很棒的住宿體驗！

有免費停車場 不用花時間找停車位 然後廚房有免費提供茶包跟咖啡粉 另外房間隔音沒有很好 怕吵的記得帶耳塞 住這裡的好處會比市區在安靜些

This hostel is easy to locate, just in battery point and the receptionist is very nice and introduce evey thing. The room is clean and the heater is warm enough =) There are many restaurant nearby and not need to worry about food. it is a great experience in Hobart

非常整潔舒適，鄰近碼頭及市中心， 住慣酒店的我，本來都怕唔習慣8個人一間房，點知真係好乾淨。 洗手間同沖涼嘅地方都好整潔。

床很舒服，房東非常熱情回答所有問題,周邊環境很好！離CBD,Salamanca 很近，方便採買東西和離餐館都很方便，步行即可！

a historical hostel but in good condition and well decoration. good atmosphere for backpackers! clean and tidy in common room by colleague everyday. good sharing culture, such as food, cooking and trip information etc. btw, i miss the 2 dogs in the garden (Lily and Tuxi)

對於出門的旅人而言，在這裡有回家的感覺。入住當天接待人員為每一位旅人從1樓介紹環境到2樓，並且詳細說明附近的商店超超帥怎麼走去。真的令人感到窩心。

I stayed at the 8-bunk female room which was incredibly clean. The lavatories and public areas were also clean. The only thing that made this experience not as satisfying was the bunk beds. I chose the lower bunk and realised later that the structure wasn't stable so it creaked whenever the person in the uoper bunk moved even slightly. I could see the the frame bended a bit as well... But maybe I was just the unlucky one.

Room was great, location even better. Bathroom had some mould but otherwise good. We were very happy with our stay.

This is a great place to stay if you want to whip in and out for a weekend.

Decent and reasonably clean hostel. But soap didn’t get refilled in the shared bathroom. Staff isn’t the warmest either.

I stayed at Montacute Boutique Bunkhouse and overall had a pretty good experience, especially considering the location and atmosphere. The hostel is in a fantastic spot and just a 5–10 minute walk to the Salamanca Market, the waterfront pier area, grocery stores, and nearby art spaces. It’s super convenient if you want to explore Hobart on foot. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made the stay more enjoyable. The kitchen is also very large and well set up, although it can get quite busy during peak hours. One thing to note is the bathroom situation. There are two full toilet-and-bathroom units, plus one extra toilet and two separate showers. However, during busy times (around 7–9am and 7–9pm), there can be a wait, especially with many guests staying on the second floor sharing these facilities. The room itself was clean, but the building is older, so don’t expect anything modern or newly renovated. Noise levels were generally acceptable, not too loud compared to other hostels. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a convenient and social place to stay in Hobart. Just be prepared for some waiting during peak bathroom and kitchen hours.
