Excellent breakfast; asian and western styles available and delivered by staff happy in their work.
Staff were very professional; attentive without being intrusive and always happy to provide suggestions or advice.
Excellent location. Close to Chinatown - avoid the Shanghai Village restaurant if you want a quiet dinner - and the CBD.
Make use of the free transport in the city centre; route 35 takes you around the whole city on a one hour tour. Also go on the free walking tours around the city, but leave the knowledgeable guide a gratuity at the end!
Don't miss Brunetti Oro cafe for fabulous coffee and cakes.

I cannot believe they charged me the full amount when the entire hotel didn't have water for showers or toilets. This was a very disappointing experience. The staff was terrible; they couldn't even help with directions to a medical center.
The room was so dusty that they ended up changing it for us, but you can imagine how unpleasant it was to pack everything and move it ourselves due to the dust. Additionally, one of the beds was so worn out that I could feel the springs in my back as I lay on it.

Clean and tidy in both rooms and common areas with some lovely decorations up for Easter. Buffet breakfast had a good selection available and the chef was friendly and also happy to also cook omelette for guests if requested.
The lifts are painfully slow even though there are 2 banks of lifts - it’s like it needs to power on each time you press the button.
