I have never yet found accomodation that was worth a 10/10. We loved every minute of our stay. Cabin contained everything we could need. Every staff member we encountered was super helpful and friendly! We truly wound down and it was just what we needed. Absolutely loved the ambience. Not at all a try hard pioneer feel. Authentic slab hut but with AC to keep you warm or cool if needed.
So much to do and see in Longreach even if you don’t book the tourist shows. We loved the Qantas museum though.
So good we’ve booked again in 12 months time. 100% recommend.

The cabins are very basic with very little home comforts. I think the place needs cleaning up in the grounds with lots of untidy gardens. I would be expecting more for my money at this expensive hotel !

The cabins are reasonably basic but the bed is comfortable. Quite expensive for just a portable cabin. Nothing fancy really. Very limited TV channels available. Fridge should be bigger for this cabin.

Ron the manager was excellent. We extended our stay and upgraded to the stables….he organised his team to move all our stuff into the new room and it was ready by 1030. The artesian outdoor bath tubs were a fantastic surprise. Perfectly located….been travelling for 2 weeks and this was best place we stayed.

We stayed in one of the 10 Slab Huts, very rustic but comfortable. Close to tourist locations with QANTAS Founders across road and Stockmans Hall of Fame both within short walking distance.
The only drawback would be the traffic noise from highway with road trains travelling 24/7.

This place is great! Everything is clean and comfortable a stone throw from the Qantas museum. But best of all the hospitality is great! A pick up from the train station and a drop off at the airport! Plus letting us use the pool until it was time for a flight. The managers are just so accommodating and helpful! Would definitely come back.
