A unique experience and best for two or a single. After viewing the published inages and reading the description we were really looking forward to the stay. Unfortunately, I couldn't see how they got those photos at all. It was nothing like the actual property. Anyone that worked there or was caretaking were difficult to get a hold of and rarely there, we (three of us) were placed in a tiny room where there was just enough room for three beds and you had to squeeze around furniture, luggage and each other to use any amentities. If you were inside you had to lie in bed due to space and facilities, or there was a small table setting outside to sit at. Being in the residential area of town, the neighbour's dogs bark ALOT and start their trucks up between 4am and 6am, and can get rowdy at night. The beds were clean and had great blankets. The floor and rest of the room a bit grotty but then, it is in the outback and it is very quirky so that kind of comes with the territory.

We’d planning a lovely few days in Lightning Ridge however we were so disappointed with the accommodation. The photos looked lovely but the unit was an absolute disgrace. The bathroom door fell off the runners. The TV did not work neither did the DVDs. The lounge/breakfast area was full of wet washing & a storage area for old furniture. The carpark area was a mud bath… The bed line & towels were definitely past their use by date… Definitely a NO Go accommodation. Only a ONE Star at best. Thank you

Great for an overnight stay. Genevieve was a lovely host.

We were upgraded to the shed, which had a large fridge, dining table, lounge chairs, washing machine & dryer. It was very quirky but comfortable. There was a clothesline in the back yard, which was very handy. Parking also in the yard, which was very secure. The only thing we didn't like was the shower, which had no curtain or petition and so the water went everywhere, including over the toilet, which was in the same room. A nice place to stay in Lightning Ridge.

During my three-day, two-night stay, I found cockroaches in the room and the shower. I also noticed that the toilet was not properly secured and shook noticeably when used, which could pose a potential safety hazard. I thought it would be helpful to bring these issues to your attention so they can be resolved for future guests. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. The portions were generous, the food was fresh, and I was very satisfied.

Spacious accommodation, clean and well maintained. Nice homely accommodation.

More a homestay than a motel. Could relax.

Really small accommodation and out of town. The lady who greeted us had little to say, the bathroom is super tiny, the bathroom sink was almost unusable. It was reviewed as quirky, not sure we'd agree.

BEDROOM 2 - Dusty walls (from decoration?) shows up when bedside lights is on, small toilet not fixed to floor (someone has tried to use grip fix!) and no screws holding it too floor. Extract fan and AC vent dusty and poor reception service no one on site. Kitchen has spiders nest or something in corner of ceiling, and fridge noisy through night which is annoying as no kitchen to bedroom door. However, bed was clean and comfortable with extra pillows in wardrobe. Never saw anyone at property to greet etc.

Quiet setting, off street parking at rear (near room). Tastefully decorated and set out. Kitchen well stocked. Good communication with Shaun earlier in the day. Ceiling fan was on when we arrived. Hot water plentiful. Comfortable bed. Lounge a little low. Not a large complex, only a few rooms with spacious, private, covered BBQ area at rear with colourful lighting. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, (considering the 40 degree celcius day we had in Lightning Ridge)!

Clean and comfy. Our room was upgraded which is always appreciated. The bed was really comfortable too. Host was very responsive to queries. Would happily stay again.

Cute older house. Nice kitchenette. Would have appreciated message prior to check in as not able to make local calls as an international visitor

Bed was goed, gratis parkeren op eigen terrein. Algehele indruk matig, badkamer zeer matig, kon deur niet afsluiten van badkamer en het afsluiten van het appartement liet ook te wensen over. Water had een vreemde geur wat ook in handdoeken te ruiken was mogelijk door mineraal rijk water in de omgeving. Ik zou er geen tweede keer voor deze accommodatie kiezen.
