We stayed in a 2 bedroom room, it was nice and big and spacious. We stay here when we come to Melbourne and we love it. Great location, friendly polite staff. Harry's restaurant has great food and it's a nice atmosphere

Breakfast was fabulous. Location perfect, high tea was nice but the service was very slow. We loved the spacious suite.

The Stamford is my favourite place to stay. Staff are friendly and the rooms even tho old are very clean and comfortable. The beds are amazingly comfortable too

This hotel is a bit dated but the rooms are big, the buffet breakfast is excellent and it’s a perfect place to stay with kids. The pool and spa is a massive bonus in the Melbourne winter.

First time staying here in ten years. It is exactly the same. Overall it was a decent price for that location with breakfast included and nothing really negative, but also nothing that stood out to mention. A fresh coat of paint would help the rooms look not so dated and worn. (Carpet looks so icky). Booked a room with two double beds for four people. We only had one pillow each which we didn't think about until it was time for bed and didn't want to wait around for them to bring us any more. Shame they was none in the cupboard like many other hotels. Beds were pretty comfortable though. The one time we forgot a brush/comb they didn't have one in the bathroom, which I think is a first from all the hotels we've stayed at. Pool and gym are basic and very small, there were quite a few people in them. Buffet breakfast is small but offers a variety. The location was perfect for what we needed and there are plenty of parking options close by. Our main concern is that they were short staffed, which from some conversations from staff is pretty standard. We spent 30mins waiting for check-in (arrived at 2:30pm). Check-out felt a little cold. Staff at the counted asked what room, if we had anything from the bar, then said. Ok you're fine to go. Maybe we're just use to staying in places that have higher standard of customers service. Just would have appreciated a, thanks for staying with us, have a great day.

The staff are friendly but they are not forthcoming with information. Along with the website saying 2 parking locations available, there is only 1 and you must go to the hotel and check in first before parking which they don’t tell you prior. There isn’t a lot of area to park/drop bags off and check in, then there was a 45 minute wait to check in. No one told us where the amenities were, we had to figure this out ourself. The rooms were old and cracked benches and cupboards and dusty. Our shower/bath was dirty also. The hotel pool was in a second building and we had to walk outside to get to it, the pool was great for the kids but definitely needed a decent scrub along the lining. The beds need some mattress toppers but for one night it was fine. The aircon/heater was locked so we couldn’t control the settings so was 23 and was way too hot! Something the hotel cannot control is the street noise, was ridiculous! My kids struggled to sleep through the rowdy crowd noise during the night. The best thing about the hotel was breakfast, fresh and a lot of variety.

Great location.

Loved our 2 bedroom stay for 3 nights for my 40th birthday. This was for my family of 2A 2C. The girls loved the big space and spa bath. The breakfast was excellent. Only downside was the pool was cold even though it was indoors and the spa too was freezing. I had really looked forward to a winter escape. The staff did a great job with making sure the 2nd room we booked was next door to us which was a big help.

Great position close to great restaurants and shopping. Cheap overnight parking within walking distance. We had a large 2 bedroom two bathroom apartment which was very roomy and tastefully furnished. There was a problem with our check in which was quickly resolved.(room had been given to someone else). Breakfast was pretty ordinary with minimal choices for a buffet.

Everything was great!

Staff helpful, great breakfast, lovely upgrade, clean room.

Rooms are a bit stuffy. Even with the aircon on.

Good location walking distance to everything in Melbourne.

It was supposed to be a five star hotel, the shower was in a bath and it was terrible, moved us to a new room and it was about the same except we could see out the window as it was clean. We had to call an ambulance as my wife is diabetic the hotel was very bad at getting the call thru to our room, we payed extra for us to have breakfast in our room this was not allowed, the spa was missing tiles some ares were sharp on the feet. Our room was changed twice the hole time we were there room service was really quiet over priced we got a sandwich chips and a Cesar salad which cost 78 bucks Aussie the restaurant and bar were closed on the Monday night. Had we have known that it was this bad we would have gone lease where terrible service.
