I stayed at this hotel multiple times and loved it, but I think this may be my last time. There was no hot water got cold showers my whole stay, bathroom had a really bad smell of urine, the heat didn’t work so room was freezing, and the outlets were so lose I couldn’t charge anything. For a hotel that’s usually beautiful I was very unsatisfied

The room we had reserved was supposed to have a balcony. Upon check-in, there was no balcony room avaliable and we had to opt out for a standard room. There was no parking available on site and we had to walk from a public parking lot. Due to these issues, the hotel staff member named Angel indicated that we would qualify for a discounted rate which was not applied. Once in our room, it had a strong odour of musty moldy air. Upon check-out I inquired about this situation and the discounted rate to which the employee working at the desk said he couldn't help me because the booking was completed through expedia. This was not a pleasant hotel experience.

Close to downtown

Very friendly staff and comfortable bed. Decent restaurant, but would it kill you to add some tomatoes or cucumber to your salad? Bathrooms are quite dated and my room wasn’t the cleanest when I checked in. Shower curtain smelled of mildew. They also didn’t clean my room at all one day even though the sign was not on. Overall decent value but there are some ways to improve — especially the cleaning.

The room was freezing cold and turning up the thermostat did not do anything to change the temperature. The next morning, my shower was not even lukewarm. It was cool. Definitely not hot when I told them at checkout the guy didn’t seem to care one bit.

The hot tub was hot but the jets were not working. Staff were in often to replenish towels and clean/ check in . Busy time during march break.

We had booked a room with a balcony and paid extra for it but were told those rooms weren’t available. After insisting, we were given the right room. To compensate for our inconvenience, we were given free breakfast and free parking which was very gratifying. Beds were comfortable but the heating systems fans were noisy and ran continuously. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location of this hotel is very good, close to the shops and restaurants on the waterfront. Overall, a good experience.

Great room! Loved the location and a view of the harbour.

We were there fir Valentines and we were given a beautiful room with a great view of the water. We had a wonderful weekend.

Overall not a bad property. Housekeeping was quick to deliver extra towels and staff fairly friendly.

There were no working jets in the hot tub.

Stayed 8 days, rooms was super nice, was spacious, we had an harbour view room which was super nice, opening the curtains and staring at the water, nothing better. Had a washer and dryer which was great as we packed light so it was super convenient doing laundry right in the hotel, only had 1 washer and 1 dryer but that’s all that’s needed. Perfect stay, thanks all!!

Everything was perfect and staff were lovely. Except one elevator was broken. But things happen. It was lovely stay

We had the courtyard suite and it was absolutely huge. Separate bedroom and lots of room for the kids to make about. The crib was in great condition, the pool was clean and the hot tub was actually… hot !

Loved our stay at the Courtyard Marriott. The rooms were spacious. The hotel is close to everything we wanted to see and do in downtown Halifax. The Brewery market is just a step outside and restaurants are only 5 min walking distance.

Room was a great size, bright and clean. Would prefer signage or something on website about where the parking is. Check in time no spots available in front of main entrance. Parked across the street by water front, thought that large parking area was for hotel. Had to pay upfront, paid for 17 hrs. When I walked to the hotel to register, I was then informed of underground parking at a cheaper rate.

It would have been nice to have AC in the unit or even a fan. The air was stale and heavy.
