There was a very strong smell of an industrial type cleaner in the room. Very old carpet. Stove very old and falling apart. Window latch not working properly. Air conditioner behind window drapes. Temporary floor covering in front of the elevator. Overall a very poor stay in a hotel that was misrepresented in the advertising. I will never go back there.

Best cheaper option in Vancouver

Nice appartment hotel in a busy area but we cannot hear a thing with a room facing the back of the building. The building is old but the rooms are clean and spacious.

The plus side was that it was more than a room - it was a full apartment. But it was everything veeery old - furniture, appliances, the hotel itself.

Good value abit worn but excellent location walking distance to everything

Awful. This hotel is in a great neighbourhood but it’s very run down, so old they use keys to get in the room door, cramped smelly hallways and rooms and icky elevator. I left and booked somewhere else.

Don't judge a book by its cover! English Bay is amazingly close to great food, the sea wall trail, and Stanley park. Fabulous location. It looks rough around the edges, but they are working on renovating the rooms. Beds were comfortable and clean.

Room ham ocean/beach view, older building but room was comfortable, clean, and had kitchen.. easy to get around and located in trendy area with many restaurants, grocery store only couple blocks away.. would stay their again

I would book again if I visit here in the future. Everything is good. If you are not picky about the remodeling, the hotel is worth to stay.

The place is old but the bed was comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful and the location excellent.

The hotel has an excellent location. It is walking distance to Stanley Park and very easy access to public transportation. That though is the only positive thing I can say. The hotel was filthy. The room was not made with towels on the floor and beds and made. We told them, and an hour two later the room was made up. That was the only time the cleaning crew came into the room over our four nights stay. They did not make the beds change the linens or the towels. And the towels were so old that they were falling apart. The bathroom was old and dirty. There was dust caked on to the walls. There was a fire door at the top of the stairway with the sign that said for fire protection the door must be closed at all times. I think I saw it closed one time over the four night stay. I was sadly disappointed.

The property was a bit tired but the staff and the rooms were excellent and beds comfortable. Location was prime for visiting Stanley park and Granville island!

The kitchen provided cooking supplies, refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, etc. Room was quiet, TV worked, and bed was good. We did not ask for beach view.

Position was fantastic. Spacious rooms. Older decor, but clean and comfortable.

Older property, fairly run down and really in need of a coat of paint. Quite clean but the cleaning products used are really pungent. Reasonably priced for Vancouver and the location is excellent. I would say that the location offsets the negatives of the property but it depends on what you value.

Good location

Conveniently located right by English Bay and walkable to almost everything. Transit or an Uber will get you to anywhere else you want to go. As far as the hotel, you get a lot of space in your room with a full kitchenette and a very spacious bathroom area. Have stayed before and would stay again as long as the price is right.

Very clean dated motel in a fantastic location across the English Bay beach. Great location for launching your BC visit. Sunset beach close walk. Close to Stanley park sea wall entrance. Rent a bike and spend the day exploring area
