The room was large and comfortable, but the best part of the stay was the staff. I tend to go to Winnipeg for Hockey games and concerts, so I like to stay in the area and have tried a few hotels. each has their strengths. I choose The Humprey most of the time for their staff, who always treat me well.

Very affordable hotel in a convenient location! Had a conference at the local convention centre and it was within a 10 minute walk. Also within walking distance to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, The Forks and steps to transit and the Via Rail station! Staff were friendly and allowed for bag drop off early. Only issue that as a woman travelling alone, the attendant read my room number out load while others were around. My understanding is that they're supposed to point it out and not say it out load for security purposes. I felt safe but would suggest attendants not do that. Great hotel overall and would stay again!

My first time staying at Humphry's in Winnipeg. I booked the room with a jacuzzi for a weekend "stay-cation". The room was very dated with many worn spots in the drapery allowing light through. The smell of cigarette smoke wafted through every hour or so - maybe the vents had issues? The jacuzzi seemed cleaned but it was very dated, with poorly patched areas on the walls above and around it - I did not use it at all... the room overall just made me feel gross.
The bed was comfortable and the linen appeared clean, however, the cleaning staff came in while I was out for the day and when I got back the bed was made with the exact same linen. I was told they should be washing the linen and putting in fresh linen but I knew this wasn't done because there was a small drop of blood on the sheet - I had cut my ankle while shaving - and it was still there as they had only just tried to wipe it off.
I thought this was a higher end hotel but it absolutely is not. It reminded me of an old Motel with a few unkept bells and whistles.
I would NOT recommend this hotel.
