It was pretty nice and clean, a great place to stay in Montreal for many reasons: location, service, and amenities. I recommend it and will definitely get in touch again soon.

Clean & still new feeling rooms. It’s our go to for yearly trips to Montreal. My only critique is that some staff members in the main entrance and front desk could afford to smile a little. It’s literally free. Majority of the time we were entering and exiting the front door guys were congregating, chatting amongst each other without even looking our way. A welcoming smile & good bye goes a long way.

Room was decent, well equipped and comfortable. Staff were helpful with baggages at the front stairs. However, unfortunately, we were not able to experience the bar as it was too busy and the staff said there was no space. It would have been nice to have been offered an alternative as a guest staying at the hotel (i.e. a drink in another room or foyer).

I find myself often wondering what makes a hotel "exceptional" (according to the labels given by booking sites). Le Mount Stephen is truly one of those hotels that falls within this category. I could provide details but there's really nothing more to be said than this hotel IS exceptional.
We upgraded to a Jr. Suite this stay and what a spacious room this is. Probably the most elegant Jr. Suite I've ever stayed in.

We asked to check in early and were told they were cleaning our room at 1. We kept checking back every hour or so and apparently they were still cleaning the room and then waiting for someone to come in and verify the job was done. By the time we got into our room right at 4 PM we noticed there was a base of a wine glass that was broken underneath the desk as well as a few shards of glass near it. We weren't given any sort of compensation for it and it was a bit disappointing given that the reason we weren't able to check in was because they spent so much time cleaning and verifying the room was ready. This was one of the more expensive terrace rooms as well. A bit disappointing.

All of the staff were incredibly nice, welcoming, and friendly throughout our stay, making our experience at the hotel—and in Montreal—even more enjoyable. Their hospitality truly made our trip memorable. I will definitely return and stay at Le Mount Stephen on my next visit to Montreal.
