We like to stay here when visiting Revelstoke. Very comfortable and spacious. Nicely located for walking the dog. My only issue - a small one- is that the walls are painted black. While this is very soothing the black absorbs light making the rooms very dark. The rooms, especially the bedroom, needs better lighting to make it possible to see well when you need to.

We are warmly welcomed by the front desk staff, the check-in is easy and the room is clean. We booked 4 rooms for our family and the hotel can arrange the rooms closed to each other as requested. We are also satisfied with the breakfast. This is perfect for one-night transit.

The TV would not work properly. The lady at the Reception Desk, finally got it to work on Prime Video, but still could not get regular TV. We do appreciate her efforts which took quite a while and still did not work.
Other than that, the room was great, good breakfast, all staff friendly and helpful.

Had a pretty good stay at Northwinds. Rooms are fairly nice though a bit dark. Bathroom is nicely updated though. Beds were comfortable. Also the breakfast was pretty good (yogurt, hard boiled eggs, cereal, toast, fruit, muffins, juice).
Downsides are the lack of soundproofing. You could hear everything from the hallway (doors slamming, people talking). Also the hotel is very close to the train track so we heard trains going by. We didn’t have any major issues with this but just be aware if you’re sensitive to noise.
Overall I was fairly pleased with this hotel. Was pretty expensive for what it is, but I think rates are always high on summer weekends.

Breakfast was a little weak as there was no hot meat or eggs. Pancakes looked like donut holes. There was also cereal, yogurt, cold boiled eggs, cold ham, and toaster for bagels, etc. I did like the individually wrapped baked muffins. Not a buffet, but enough for a light breakfast start.
Room was great, air conditioner powerful enough for any setting.

This place has clearly been modernized relatively recently and on the surface every is fine. But there are clearly corners that have been cut to make a buck. They don't give physical keys or cards but a number code that "resets" after you leave. I am certain I could have guessed every code in the building. The staff always seemed over worked and nearly impossible to find to check in. Breakfast was fun but the area was far to small and cramped, doors were all propped open with AC running full blast. In our room the sitting area was always stuffy, dark with no decent light and thick carpet trying to hide the uneven floors. To summarize we had a fine stay and got what we paid for but the experience was frustrating and I certainly wouldn't want to invest (as the fliers in the room suggest), or worse work in this place.

This is a small charming motel. Great staff and a decent breakfast. The location is great. Room had wifi issues all the time and the staff were not able to fix it. This does not look like the fault of the staff. They tried many times. Looks like a setup issue. Even the TV WiFi was cutting out. We stayed at the end of the property so maybe signal strength was an issue. Also the bathroom shower curtain smelled really bad. Otherwise it was great.

Great hotel. Close to the train tracks BUT they had new ear plugs in a jar in the bathroom just in case. The train wasn’t that noisy. The room was nice and cool when we walked in and it was 32 degrees the day we pulled in. Lots of parking and close to everything.
