Stayed in the annexe: room was fine. Recent bathroom makeover with a large walk in shower (very very slow drain though was threatening to overflow so cut shower short). It’s currently a building site but overall a decent clean place to break a journey or when working away. No bar available. There’s no shops within walking distance so bring your own refreshments.

Good all rounder hotel close to shops and restaurants (pub) will stay again great staff

I only booked this hotel because there was a bathtub in the picture which I need for medical reasons so I put a note on the booking regarding this and assumed everything was ok because I wasn’t contacted, however the pictures turned out to be old so the room was completely unsuitable with no other options but to have a very uncomfortable stay

Well first off we weren’t pre-warned that the bar and restaurant weren’t going to be open or available for the duration of our stay which was 4 nights, nor were there any access to any vending machines which were stated on the listing. We needed somewhere to eat and this was one of the reasons why I booked this place.. We were also put in a room where only boiling hot water was coming from the sink, so we had to use bottled water (that we luckily had) to brush our teeth with… It was during a heatwave and there were no real access in the place to get decent drinkable water from nor any ice machines. The windows were filthy and could barely open due to how dirty they were, and it was incredibly hot in our room! Again, luckily since I brought my own fan, we were able to have some sort of airflow. The doors are stupidly heavy and loud, there’s no need for them to be so aggressive and heavy as they end up slamming shut with serious force. The place looked so run down and abandoned, it looked derelict. Would have been reasonable to of had a small fridge in the room but no. Will never choose to stay here again. Not an awfully pleasant stay and nor will I recommend.

Bed was comfy. Shower was hot and bathroom nice and modern. That's where it ended. Hotel needs urgent TLC. Looks run down, carpark looks like something from a post apocalyptic movie. No bar open and no restaurant. Thankfully there is an Harvester less than 1 mile away.

The room was very clean as were the reception and stairway but the rest of the hotel is still being refurbed, the bar was closed with no access to any food or drink. I am sure it will be very nice when it is finished. The staff were very helpfull.

The beds were comfortable, room has been updated. Not going to lie the building looks a bit sketchy. But happy with our stay

Clean room. Some drunken smell on the corridor. But overall the hotel is clean and warm

Nicely refurbished room, heating took forever to come on but warm once working ok. Hot water not up to standard as it takes well over 2 minutes for hot water to come through. Hot tap and shower needed to be in full for many minutes to draw hot water through.

Great hotel. Only 10-15 minutes from NEC, which is ideal. Looks grubby from the outside, but really nice inside. I would definitely recommend it.

Arrived late, no food available die to refurb was not told this when I booked. Expensive for nothing but a bed to sleep in!

Communal areas are in turmoil as the hotel is undergoing refurbishment. My room, however, was recently renovated and was well decorated and equipped. Also clean!

As you pull up into the car park the first thought is..is it derelict, shut down? Entrance through the painfully slow auto doors leads into slightly better looking reception area, very helpful receptionist and nice new carpet on the floor. The hotel is being refurbished and therefore no bar or food available. The room allocated to me was nicely refurbished, possibly the nicest bathroom I’ve stayed in for a while, thick new carpet and comfy mattress. However, the aluminium windows hardly opened to get rid of the overpowering smell of paint. The heating did not work so quite chilly overnight. Would consider staying again if there was food/drink provision but it’s not in an area that you could walk to a pub/restaurant that I could find.

The stay was comfortable however there were no food or bar facilities. I had booked in March and received no updates about the lack of facilities

Arrived to empty carpark but packed hotel, guessing it where the givernment are housing immigrants, staff seemed polite but was a very strange atmosphere! Security on the main entrance was a bit off putting. Manageable for one night if passing through

terrible , full of asylum seekers didn't feel safe and wasn't prepared to stay over night and leave my van.

This is a hotel where there are lots of residents loitering outside and inside and is very off putting. This hotel looks untidy and definitely has the resemblance of youth hostel. I wouldn’t book again
