A lovely getaway hotel. Staff so nice, couldn’t be more helpful. Room fabulous with wonderful views over the water. Lovely spa and good food. Definitely will be back

Room was clean but near the road so disappointing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plenty enough for me in the buffet. Bar was good as well. Well stocked with lots of choice. Lovely location. Well definitely come again.

The view from the room was beautiful, we stayed whilst it was in mid 20s but the room was unbearable in the morning with the sun beaming on the windows and rather warm at night. A fan was provided but not adequate and rickety.
Spa facilities were lovely and worth using for a chill out.
Breakfast service was a big let down. We waited a while to be seated (ignored by staff) finally sat down to order and service was slow. Nothing left of the included continental even after asking for top ups. Had to ask 3 members of staff for bread to make toast to go with cooked breakfast. Just not what you would expect from a hotel of this category. When providing feedback the girl had an answer for everything instead of just listening and taking on board comments.
I would return for the views but the service needs sorting out.

Disappointing stay at this hotel. The staff were a little unwelcoming and the service was not great.
A beautiful location but this was let down by terrible parking, poor facilities and attention to detail that wasn’t there!!!!
The spa was poor with an outlook to a wall!!
The room was also disappointing with hair on my pillow and uncomfortable cheap pillows. I was very much looking forward to this stay but was very disappointed.

Staff were great, hotel really nicely maintained and set out. Room was beautiful, view across the Estuary was outstanding. Breakfast excellent.

The staff were extremely helpful and attentive. The food in the Jetty restaurant was excellent and of a very high standard. The only negatives was the room we had was facing the inland road side of the hotel was very noisy in the day from traffic and appeared to be no air con in the room . The outside seating areas were a little tired and could do with an upgrade which was in sharpe contrast to the restaurant which was fantastic. The location was great being in the centre of Salcombe with parking.

Staff were welcoming.
Car parking at the front of the hotel is adequate as it is on quite a slope. Salcombe itself is on the side of a hill in any event. Dining room is lovely and looks out over the estuary.

The room was clean but there were mould patches in the corner of the shower (just tired looking).
The restaurant was good but a bit slow.

Due to a wedding in the property, which we were not warned about (apparently Hotel can't contact Expedia customers), we got very little sleep. Some of the wedding guests decided to have their own party/social event between 2:30 AM - 5:30 AM meaning we got virtually no sleep. Rang reception to inform them of the noise at 3.45am. They told us they couldn't do anything and to ask for financial compensation when we checked out in the morning.
Such a shame as the room was beautiful and we were upgraded. Unfortunately we were upgraded to a room which was noisier above the smoking area! The guests also left shoes and other rubbish around the hotel which we noticed in the morning going to breakfast.

Fabulous hotel. Friendly staff and wonderful position. We had a gorgeous room over looking the estuary. Couldn't fault anything. My husband collapsed in Salcombe and everyone at the hotel was very helpful, particularly members of the public who came to my husbands aid. I did thank the people that helped us but not having anyone's telephone numbers was not able to thank them properly. It was so appreciated. We had to go home so didn't get to enjoy the hotel as we would have liked. Thank you again and a big thank you to the people who helped us.
