Small nice room

The hotel us situated at the outskirt of Sheffield town centre and about halfway between city centre and Meadowhall Shopping Centre (which is also where coach station is situated). The room is relatively small for two people. There is a desk and only one chair within the room and another guest has to sit on the bed. The TV signal reception is very poor. It is not possible to watch TV in the room. Bathroom/toilet is clean and well maintained. The room has no hot water boiler. But free coffee and tea are available free at reception lobby. There is no drawer or cabinet within the room. So. There is no place to put our personal belongings. Breakfast food is fairly good and is reasonbly priced.

No kettle no fridge no teabags no hair dryers 2 main towels and 1 hand towel 20ich Tv not many channels Shower is just in the middle of room no privacy Window was broken didn’t open

For a budget hotel it was really good. Basic but has everything you need for a quick one night stop.

For the price excellent, basic, warm and clean

Clean and tidy. Night time staff not so sure of what they needed to do. For example, I paid for parking but they didn’t give us a ticket to display in the car which could have resulted in a fine for us. It was only after we asked that a ticket was produced.

Parked on road as the cost for parking i thought was a bit expensive for guests ..

Breakfast was basic but OK. Room could have been bigger and bathroom was tiny

Stayed at this hotel loads and first time I’ve had to pay parking which was a third of the total price

The room would be fine if it wasn't for an awful eggy, off sulphur smell that came up from the shower enclosure. The first this happened was at 10pm. So way after we were unpacked and in bed. We managed to put the towels over the drain hole and open the window to air it out and thought it was dealt with. Unfortunatly the smell woke us at 7am and was so strong. The towels did not deal with it and it must have been from others using their showers maybe. The room is basic, uncarpeted and compact. But otherwise OK. The bed was fine - not the comfiest bed, slightly hard and worn but OK. Breakfast again was fine. Basic, cold continental with limited options but enough to get us on the road. Hotel was quiet, despite being pretty full, staff helpful. I didn't report the smell that night as we were so unpacked and ready for bed we wouldn't want to have moved, and thought we had dealt with it. I've since seen reviews reporting the same so clearly this is more of an issue and unresolved. So that's not great. May be worth the extra £20-30 across the road at the Premier Inn.

Its like they intentionally designed it to be a bit rubbish on purpose especially as its not especially cheap to stay. Only good thing was location but won't bother again.

I didn’t want this to be a bad review but I also don’t want to lie. We booked a twin room, the beds were so narrow I was worried to roll over. The mattresses were just placed on wood slats so constantly moved in the night. The blackout blinds didn’t fit the window so we had street light blinding us all night. The remote control was disgusting, brown stuff all over and in between the buttons, had to clean it before we used it. The toilet had literal wee stains on the walls near the floor and smelt. The breakfast was a choice of toast, fruit, cereal or croissants, not a huge amount on offer either. The staff were however very pleasant and I gave to compliment them. However, I won’t be staying again.

The hotel left a lot to be desired. Cramped, plastic and cheap. Will absolutely not be staying here again
