What Guests Say About Their Stay

It's ok for a budget hotel. AC works, cold breakfast only, great shower pressure! key cards demagnetise and need to be reset every now and then. Had to reset room cards twice and was never asked to confirm my identity, could have said any room number. Staff is nice and polite though, just needs more due diligence. Room naturally are small with a tiiiiiiiny restroom. Shower cabin opens into the room, so if you are staying with a kid or teenager, showering descreetly requires some towel logistics. No power outlet next to beds, kind of ineffecient when you need to charge a phone or laptop. Looks clean throughout. No amneties in the room, other than 2 sink glasses and all-in-one cleaning gel, but a kettle can be requested at the reception. 5 min walk from Sheffield ICE and Sheffield Institute of Sport Arena.

Basic room but ideal for one night. Very close to the arena. Would forego the breakfast as I don’t think it’s is worth £8.95 at all, some bread, muffins croissants cereal cheese ham cucumber and pepperoni. Save yourself the money and go to the nearby food places which are a 2 min walk away. Otherwise, clean and friendly staff.

The only problem was the car park is too small, wasn't aware when I booked that we would have to pay nearly £9:00 per night. The hotel itself was very good, clean, well kept with helpful staff. The breakfeast was simply and plentyful.

Very small room but was clean. For the price it was ok. You have to pay to park which I don’t like, but there was a few on road parking spaces for free.

When I arrived to check in, the receptionist couldn’t find my reservation because I had already been checked in. This meant it took a bit longer than expected to check in.

The room was on the ground floor facing the car park. This meant i had to keep the blind down the whole time, which gave it a prison cell feel! Aside from that, it was a clean room and was OK for a couple of nights. The breakfast isn't great but you can have a couple of helpings to fill you up. For the price, it's a decent hotel.

Exactly what you’d expect from a budget hotel. Friendly staff, clean enough, perfect for a night or two on a budget. Only complaint would be I’d have liked a kettle in the room but no big deal.

100% would not recommend. Tiny room, which felt like a prison cell (not that I’ve stayed in one!) sink located next to the bed along with the shower, no separate bathroom. Toilet in a cupboard! Window only opened 1” and no working aircon, just the option of more hot air being blown into an already very hot room, all whilst sleeping on a plastic mattress! Had no option but to leave the window open, which then meant you could hear the very busy road right outside, constant banging and car noise ALL night. Breakfast was very limited, fruit was not at all fresh. I understand it is a budget hotel, but I would recommend paying a little extra and staying elsewhere. The positives were the staff were all very friendly and the hotel was clean.

Loud, kids running the corridors until god knows what hours at night. Staff didn’t want anything to do with it. Waited over an hour to be checked in. Key card didn’t work - waited further 40 min to be resolved , room amenities empty , room hot and aircon didn’t work. Don’t recommend.

It was okay for what we needed and the price reflected that. It felt a bit tired and in need of some tlc. We only needed the room for one night after going to see someone at the arena. Great location for that within walking distance luckily we arrived at the hotel early because parking spaces are limited. The room was very compact and so was the toilet and shower facilities, the only refreshments that were available were in the reception and that was quite chaotic due to the small area it was in and the fact you had to pay for a token to then put in a machine so we didn’t bother. They did have a vending machine but it was too crowded when we wanted to use it so again didn’t bother. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. So don’t expect anything more than what you pay for and you’ll be fine.

A bit disappointed that there was no kettle and the tv did not work, the room was small and compact. Considering I stayed at the Ibis in the City a month before and the experience there was a lot better and definitely better value for money. This time I paid more as I wanted to be nearer the indoor sports arena, but overall it wasn't worth what I paid.
