Had a very nice stay here. It is the first time we stayed. We had a larger room. It was very clean & newly decorated, such a bonus. For the price it was excellent, would recommend it. Staff were friendly. It was a good location for the town. Meals available, we did not use the these facilities, so carn't comment. We would stay here again.

the hotel is well situated, The staff very friendly and helpful with a easygoing approach. We ate breakfast which is cooked to order and because i have celiac disease i was able to swap a few items. Had evening meal which was also very good. A Good hotel with clean rooms. would definitely stay again.

It’s definitely a get what you pay for type of stay. I arrived quite late in the evening, wanted to just settle and sleep but when I entered my room, there was no bedding, pillow cases or anything for that matter. To be fair the staff member was extremely apologetic and made up my bed for me, but it’s a simple thing to check when you know you have bookings, toilet roll was sparse and no one seemed to be on the front desk to ask, I had a small circle of soap as no shower gel or shampoo was provided. The beds comfy enough and if you want a bed to stay in, it’s probably the place, but if you’re looking for glam and wowness, probably don’t. The staff do remind you that the lift is small and can only fit one person, which is accurate. It definitely needs a touch of love and just some attention to detail such as checking rooms are ready for when people are staying, which you think would’ve been done as the check in isn’t until 2pm. Overall, I probably wouldn’t stay again, but it was a bed and somewhere to sleep

The breakfasts were to die for and reasonably priced too, on street parking near by, staff were all very polite and friendly

The staff and view were lovely. Im so glad the hotel had a lift. Food was decent, and its in a quite nice location from the sea and the train station. The bed was amazingly comfortable and sturdier than it looks which is a wonderfully pleasant surprise especially for a plus size person. I very much enjoyed my stay. Thank you 😊

Room good, staff great, could have had some entertainment on but still worth a stay

The staff were satisfactory. Local staff who were helpful. Perfect location and a good rate. The building is old. Access for disabled is poor, which they acknowledge. They are working on improving this. In the meantime, book elsewhere if you have mobility issues. Public areas are very dated, but clean. Available food although freshly prepared and competitively priced was not inspiring - eat elsewhere for your holiday treats. Room was clean, but nothing special. Overall a typical coastal hotel, dated and worn and in need of a makeover. Would I stay again? Yes, but with reservations - eat elsewhere.

No very dusty, comfortable bed for me not my partner, Bath dust. Sorry I'm in cleaning myself

Overall hotel was clean but needs updating, bit of TLC. Room was clean, had to ask for bin to be emptied but wasn't done, bit short staffed but the ones that were on duty were good and helpful, we had to pay for breakfast, which was not a problem considering the cost of the accommodation, really good choice of breakfast and well priced, parking was a bit hit and miss, disc parking which was fine providing there was a space available. Overall a good stay I don't expect a 5* hotel at 2* prices.

Very poor. I booked for 2 nights but left after 1. As a light sleeper I had asked for a quiet room. I was instead given one directly above a noisy bar and opposite another noisy bar across the road. Moreover the walls between rooms are paper thin and so I could hear every word of the expletive ridden conversations next door. Overall a nightmare stay which had got off to a bad start because my checkin was delayed by there only being one staff member who was handling bar service and cooking as well as checkin.

Staff nice and friendly but my room was old- fashioned and in need of renovation, like the hotel exterior. But cheap and clean. Overall, not bad.

Location

Our room was dirty , and the bathroom as well. There was dirty in the bathtub , also the sink was cracked and dirty. The room itself was not cleaned properly, dust and dirt on all surfaces and skirt boards , pics available if needed
