Nice quiet location on canal, a bit outside city centre but only sorry walk to get there. Largely residential neighborhood (appartments) but very close to museums and commercial streets with restaurants and groceries. Convenience store nearby. Large street food market on Friday (Albert Cuypstraat) just across the canal on Friday. Staff very friendly and helpful. View from canal view room very nice from two small enclosed balconies. Room was clean and quiet. Furniture in room is limited to uncomfortable small sofa and upholstered stool. Bed very comfortable with quality sheets and pillows. Good quality shampoos etc and large bathroom. Large room by European standards. Photos on hotels.com very accurate. Did not use restaurant.

Loved this hotel! It was in a perfect location close to the museums, restaurants, and trams, we had a beautiful view of the canal, the staff were super friendly, and it’s an overall beautiful hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Avani, all the staff we encountered were super helpful and friendly. Rooms comfy, quiet and had excellent selection of amenities. Great location, close to the museums and within easy walking distance of the rest of Amsterdam. Buffet breakfast had a good selection with some cooked to order options and a relaxed vibe. We didn’t use the food/drinks bar but there seemed to be a good variety of things available plus there’s a filter water tap to refill your own bottles. Would definitely recommend

If I ever come to Amsterdam again I will stay at the same hotel ! Just a beautiful place with beautiful and warm welcoming people. Thank you to the entire staff for everything!

The Avani was a great place to stay. Very conveniently located allowing us to visit the museums and shops in the area.

I had a great experience at the Avani Museum Quarter. The staff were courteous and helpful. The room was great. The fitness center was useful. I would definitely stay here again.

This should be a great hotel, but it is not well kept, managers are not responsive and house-keeping needs to be overhauled. Location, canal view, and hotel rooms layouts are great! We had two rooms for a week. Every day was an issue with housekeeping. There was no operating espresso machine and no refunds for 4 oz of hot milk at $4.50 euros a shot. Breakfast is overpriced and not interesting. Lobby carpet is stained and dirty. Managers offer a towel or coffee pod for in-room espresso maker but do not care to address customer frustration with chronic problems.

Beautiful decor and aesthetic throughout the hotel; from the lobby to the rooms, the breakfast area, and even the bathrooms. The rooms were super clean, and anything we needed was provided quickly and efficiently, like an iron and ironing board and extra blankets. Our party had an early flight that was delayed significantly, multiple times coming from England. We still arrived before check-in time and had originally planned to have our bags checked ahead of time at the hotel. The front desk concierge noticed we had a long journey and called up to housekeeping and asked to have rooms available for us right away, since we were tired and had a canal boat tour reservation within the hour of arriving. The staff made it happen without any hassle. We had also booked a room with panoramic window views but were actually put into a superior room instead, and didn’t realize it until our last day. When we brought it to their attention, there was no fuss or issues at all, the staff was gracious, kind, and supportive, and gave us a refund for the price difference with no questions asked. The breakfast bar was perfect! All the things you could want, and more! Plus they have a menu as well in which you can order from. I highly recommend this hotel; the location is central to the majority of museums, canal tours, and even a nearby outdoor market. Also super family friendly. Great for couple, friend etc.

A localização é ótima, pois o bairro é tranquilo, perto dos museus, restaurantes e mercado. A vista do canal é linda. Reservei um quarto mais amplo com vista para o canal e gostei muito do espaço. Cama e travesseiros confortáveis. O banheiro não é grande, mas serviu. Não gostei de ter só metade do box, pois ainda assim molha o piso do banheiro. O café da manhã é ótimo e os funcionários são muito educados e solícitos. Tem um mini mercado no hotel, onde se pode consumir coisas básicas e pagar na máquina, o que é muito prático. Recomendo o hotel.

Canal view was lovely, room was comfortable and clean. Air conditioning was a bit weak and would shut off in the middle of the night. Staff was friendly and the location, near the museums was great!

The hotel is close to museums, the room was clean and spacious, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the lobby area was well maintained. I would definitely recommend staying here and would stay again!
