Convenient to stores, places of interest and transportation

The hotel was a delight. The location was ideal (just a 5 minute ride on the #2 tram from Centraal Station) and there are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The breakfast at the hotel is a bit pricey but well worth the price. Although the hotel is quite old it holds its age well and the rooms are quite modern. When I come back to Amsterdam-and I will be back - I hope to stay at the same place.

In the heart of everything. 15 minutes walk gets you to everything you'd want to see.

Danny and Karim on Reception were outstanding, super friendly and so helpful. Hotel has real character and is ideally placed to explore Amsterdam. Room was not particularly large but was ideal for our needs and is what we looked for when we booked. Excellent bathroom and facilities/'Rituals' toiletries - super! The newly opened restaurant - food was excellent, staff could be more friendly/personable.

Perfect location

The room was a bit uncomfortable and small. More ideal for a solo traveller. The mattresses get slipping. Felt like single pane glass so it was very easy to hear lots of outside noises.

The location is perfect for first time visitors to Amsterdam as it is central to everything. The staff was very responsive to our room requirements upon arrival.

Staff were very friendly & helpful. Initially we were given Room 118, which was at the back of the building and reached through an external street door. It was dark and not inviting, feeling divorced from the hotel. After one night we requested a move and were very helpfully given a new room in the hotel which was very nice. It is worth noting that the attached restaurant is now independent ( Bouillon) and very good. It requires advance booking: we could not get in during our stay as it was fully booked all day, all week.

The bed wasn't great but it was clean. The round carpet in the room was filthy. Location was perfect and the staff were very nice.
