Room was clean and quiet despite there being a lot of hustle and bustle outside. Room was small but that’s to be expected with an old building.
There are plenty of things to do/see nearby. Small grocery store just down the block. Plenty of shops and places to eat within walking distance. A few minutes away from the Anne Frank house and the Red Light District. We walked to the Heineken Experience. We walked to Amsterdam Centraal with our bags - it wasn’t too bad of a walk but it was a little bit of a pain with how crooked the path is.
There’s a bar and restaurant attached to the hotel. The bar has some fancy cocktails well worth checking out.
We enjoyed our stay here and would totally stay here again.

Our stay was amazing! The staff were brilliant and very welcoming. We arrived early and our room was ready so we got to check into our lovely room a few hours early. The hotel is very central, near Dam Square and the Anne Frank, and it was easy to walk everywhere we needed to. There is a tram stop outside if you want to go further out and there is a shop close by.

Our stay was amazing! The staff were brilliant and very welcoming. We arrived early and our room was ready so we got to check into our lovely room a few hours early. The location is great. We were disappointed with the check in offering us a basic room when we had already paid for a view.
The room we paid for was good but the floors needed a major clean! Looks like they haven’t been cleaned for six months. This is disappointing for a four star hotel. Even the rubbish from the previous guests hadn’t been emptied.

Excellent location with walking distance to pretty much everything! The staff was really welcoming when we arrived and the rooms were modern and nice. The nightlife noises are however really loud but that’s expected.
We had to buy breakfast at the hotel restaurant one day because of an early morning, DONT DO IT! We had seen before that the breakfast was super expensive and bad and that was very true! It sucked! We paid 75€ for three people and got a slice of white bread and some marmalade… so take your breakfast outside!

The hotel was fine. It's in a good location, convenient to get around. But very expensive for what you get. Staff in the hotel were lovely, however we chose to have breakfast once and felt like we were inconveniencing the staff (arrived and hour before it closed, but very quiet) and it was exceptionally expensive for very basic selection in comparison to other hotels we have stayed in.

The hotel was a delight. The location was ideal (just a 5 minute ride on the #2 tram from Centraal Station) and there are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The breakfast at the hotel is a bit pricey but well worth the price. Although the hotel is quite old it holds its age well and the rooms are quite modern. When I come back to Amsterdam-and I will be back - I hope to stay at the same place.
