Clean and perfect space

Alles war sehr gut und das Hostel hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Wenn ich in Amsterdam bin würde ich dort wieder hin.

The Elephant Hostel in Amsterdam is overall a good hostel that is suitable for both shorter and slightly longer stays. The standard is good and it generally feels clean and well-maintained. The staff is nice, helpful and contributes to a positive atmosphere, which makes the stay smooth and pleasant. At the same time, there are some improvements that would enhance the experience even further. It would be desirable for the staff to remind guests at check-in more clearly that it should be quiet after a certain time (for example 10:00 PM-7:00 AM, in consideration of guests who are sleeping. Also add information signs, for example in the bathrooms, would also have been good as some guests pack, shower and get ready in the middle of the night, which can disturb others. Since during my six-night stay I woke up three of the nights (multiple time per night) due to noise from other guests in the middle of the night, who chose to pack, shower and use a hairdryer before they headed tobthe airport, which affects the overall impression. Not the staff or hostel fault, information signs would be good Another improvement would have been to replace the ceiling lighting with more discreet lighting solutions, such as dim wall lamps that turn on in the evening. Currently, many people are woken up by ceiling lighting when someone moves in the room during the night. In summary, it is a nice and well-functioning hostel, but with a few simple adjustments the comfort for guests could be even better.

It was my first time staying at a hostel and my experience here was fantastic:) The location is super con because the Tram is right out the door, had no trouble commuting to anywhere. There are a few cafes like Box Social down the street. The Hostel also has 24/7 staff and snacks/fingerfood and drinks available. I had no problems with anything throughout the whole week of staying there. I didn’t have time to use any of the amenities so I can’t speak on that part. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfy for me and having a cubby to store my stuff. I would say the nature of the hostel, people have their own schedule so at times there were noises late in the night or early mornings. But people were good about keeping to themselves, being mindful of others for the most part. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Lovely hostel, very clean and beautiful. I stayed in the 6 person guest and it was a very quiet room.

Quarto limpo, recepção atenciosa, com excelente atendimento… o hostel tem elevador, chuveiro muito bom… O colchão poderia ser um pouquinho mais confortável, mas não tira nada do impecável que essa estadia representa. A localização é boa, retém transporte perto e dá para ir a pé tranquilamente ao centro histórico, cerca de 25 min. Por fim, a área comum é bem bonita e tudo é novo e conservado. Eu voltaria à hospedagem.

Chambre plutôt propre, le personnel est accueillant. Le salon avec le bar et la réception est très joli et propre. Le choix de petit déjeuner standard. La salle de sport est néanmoins moins entretenue que le reste de l’hostel. Les toilettes et parties communes sont très propres.

I was pleasantly surprised with this hostel. When I arrived exhausted after a long trip I was greeted very kindly by the staff. I shared a dorm with 11 other girls and at first I was a bit worried about the noise but it was a very calm and relaxing atmosphere (and clean)! Everyone was very respectful. There were separate toilets and showers as well, which was great. The area around the hostel was fine and it was quite easy to take the tram to where you wanted to go.

A mi parecer la habitación no fue tan cómoda, me tocó una cama de arriba y si es bastante alta así que puede resultar un poco incómodo para subir y bajar ; el casillero me pareció un poco pequeño y dado que era de la parte de arriba no podía poner la maleta ahí. Otra cosa que el número de baños no va acorde a las personas hospedadas en la habitación. Fuera de eso, las instalaciones fueron limpias y cómodas. Y la atención igual me gusto, el personal muy amable

I had good time. The stuff was wonderful. Was very clean and they provided clean sheets. My only lesson learned is not book in 24 people. One guy was snoring the whole night

Bonne expérience dans cette auberge. L’accueil est très chaleureux, l’équipe est agréable. Lits confortables. Les chambres et les communs sont très propres. Le bâtiment a du cachet, en particulier le salon/bar qui est magnifique dans l’ancien. Chacun a un casier individuel sécurisé avec une carte magnétique. La localisation est idéale à 10 minutes à pied de l’hyper centre. Je recommande sans hésiter.

The place very clean and the facilities are very good, the service was at reception excellent likewise the guests even though it was a Hostel tried not to disturb the other guests would definitely return!!

Honestly the rooms have a smell and the windows in the room do not open. Its a dorm of 12 people imagine living in it without fresh air. That is the experience. I would only recommend for you to live in this if there is literally no other option. Front staff is helpful hence 2 stars
