The Elephant Hostel

Quarto limpo, recepção atenciosa, com excelente atendimento… o hostel tem elevador, chuveiro muito bom… O colchão poderia ser um pouquinho mais confortável, mas não tira nada do impecável que essa estadia representa. A localização é boa, retém transporte perto e dá para ir a pé tranquilamente ao centro histórico, cerca de 25 min. Por fim, a área comum é bem bonita e tudo é novo e conservado. Eu voltaria à hospedagem.

Chambre plutôt propre, le personnel est accueillant. Le salon avec le bar et la réception est très joli et propre. Le choix de petit déjeuner standard. La salle de sport est néanmoins moins entretenue que le reste de l’hostel. Les toilettes et parties communes sont très propres.

I was pleasantly surprised with this hostel. When I arrived exhausted after a long trip I was greeted very kindly by the staff. I shared a dorm with 11 other girls and at first I was a bit worried about the noise but it was a very calm and relaxing atmosphere (and clean)! Everyone was very respectful. There were separate toilets and showers as well, which was great. The area around the hostel was fine and it was quite easy to take the tram to where you wanted to go.

Pretty awesome place to stay! Staff were great, place was clean, location was convenient. Love everything about my stay!

A mi parecer la habitación no fue tan cómoda, me tocó una cama de arriba y si es bastante alta así que puede resultar un poco incómodo para subir y bajar ; el casillero me pareció un poco pequeño y dado que era de la parte de arriba no podía poner la maleta ahí. Otra cosa que el número de baños no va acorde a las personas hospedadas en la habitación. Fuera de eso, las instalaciones fueron limpias y cómodas. Y la atención igual me gusto, el personal muy amable

I had good time. The stuff was wonderful. Was very clean and they provided clean sheets. My only lesson learned is not book in 24 people. One guy was snoring the whole night

Bonne expérience dans cette auberge. L’accueil est très chaleureux, l’équipe est agréable. Lits confortables. Les chambres et les communs sont très propres. Le bâtiment a du cachet, en particulier le salon/bar qui est magnifique dans l’ancien. Chacun a un casier individuel sécurisé avec une carte magnétique. La localisation est idéale à 10 minutes à pied de l’hyper centre. Je recommande sans hésiter.

The place very clean and the facilities are very good, the service was at reception excellent likewise the guests even though it was a Hostel tried not to disturb the other guests would definitely return!!

Honestly the rooms have a smell and the windows in the room do not open. Its a dorm of 12 people imagine living in it without fresh air. That is the experience. I would only recommend for you to live in this if there is literally no other option. Front staff is helpful hence 2 stars

The room was just cosy, practical and stylish Staff members always there, efficient and kind I didn't stay for breakfast but the dinning room is just beautiful, quiet and pleasant, If I don't need a hotel I wish I can go just to grab my coffee every morning in a place like The Elephant Great job everyone!!!

Probably the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. It was much like a hotel instead. The building and rooms were in great condition and spotless, very nice aesthetic to the property too. The bathrooms were always very nice and clean, and stocked with paper towels and actual toilet paper, not the super thin cheap stuff. Although you had to make the bed, they provided nice linens, as well as a bath towel. The pods had plenty of space and the bed/pillow were comfortable. Only one outlet, so you’d want an adapter with multiple usb/usb-c’s. Lockers also had plenty of space for luggage, and a shelf for smaller items. I didn’t have time to use it, but there was also a gym which is never seen in hostels. The location was good too, you could easily walk into Amsterdam center within 15-20 minutes. Central train station was about a 25 minute walk. Overall 10/10, would definitely recommend this hostel for anyone looking for a place to stay in Amsterdam.

Excellent all around

Mon lit était trop haut pour mon âge, i l y a des occupantes qui sont bruyantes dans la nuit, sinon tout était parfait .

Hostal bueno, bonito y barato, tomando en cuenta el precio que se paga, resulta ser una de las mejores opciones en Amsterdam para ahorrar y descansar. No sirven desayunos, pero cuentan con alimentos básicos en recepción como café, té, pan y sandwiches las 24 horas.

Stayed for 8 nights, park and museums near by, as is cafés supermarkets and coffee shops. Tram stops right outside. Postbox for mailing postcarrds right across the street, walking distance to Dam Square...

El hostal es muy lindo y el personal super amable. No hay cocina, pero tienen una pequeña cafeteria y venden cafecito, te, sandwich, pan. Además muy amablemente me calentaron la pasta que me habia sobrado para cenar. El único pero que pondria es que al menos en mi habitación solo había 2 baños y 2 regaderas para 18 chicas. Nunca tuve un problema pero considero que es muy poco espacio para tantas personas sobre todo niñas.

The staff was very friendly and the hostel is located less than a 15 minute tram ride from central station.
