Not sure if is slow check-in or if we stayed during the busiest time. Line up for check-in was long and every time we when through the lobby there is always a long queue of people waiting to check-in. Overall room is clean and comfortable, but a little dated.

Very poor service. Check in takes one hour. Stuff not well trained.

Das Hotel hat wirklich eine top Lage, die ist kaum zu toppen. Leider ist die Baustelle neben dem Hotel ziemlich nervig. Obwohl das Hotel mitteilte, dass die Bauarbeiten von 10.00 bis 16.00 Uhr stattfinden sollten, war bereits um 7.15 Uhr die Baustelle in Betrieb, aber dafür konnte das Hotel nichts. Der Zugang zum Pool ist eines 4 Sternen-Hotels schlicht nicht würdig, auch der winzige Pool ist nicht gerade einladend. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, nur hatte es so viele Leute, das ein entspanntes Frühstück auch nicht möglich war. Für uns hat im Ganzen die Preis-Leistung nicht gestimmt.

We didn't have the best starts to our trip. On checking in, which ran smoothly, we were informed that there was a staffing strike and that some services would not be available during our stay. One of the reasons we'd selected this hotel was its pool, which sadly was one of the impacted areas. Some of the bars and restaurants were also impacted. On reaching our room it did not offer the fjord views we'd booked and paid a premium for. Rather than head straight to reception to check what had happened we headed to the restaurant. For various reasons we elected not to stay and headed to reception to sort our room out. They didn't admit that we were in the wrong room but did upgrade and move us, which was the best thing that had happened since we arrived. I want to stress the staff on reception were exceptional. Still hungry and thirsty we needed to their Chicago Pizza bar, where we had two fantastic pizzas and some drinks in a very pleasant atmosphere. The menu was limited and there were no sides available but the quality of what we had was fantastic. And all of that happened within 2 hours of our arrival. The 2nd day saw the full strike kick in, more food/beverage services were impacted. It felt like we had booked a B&B. So overall this is a really hard one to grade. I am sure that we would be giving it 5 stars, if everything had been running to plan and there hadn't been a strike but sadly there was. Maybe a discount is due to encourage a revisit.

Flott opphold med fine rom og fantastisk frokost. Problemet er at det er veldig vanskelig om man fåg rom i ulike etasjer når man er i følge med andre. Det er ikke mulig å komme frem til medreisende som bor i andre etasjer.

Veldig bra service og lokale

Great hotel, would definitely stay there again. We arrived in the middle of the night and the Receptionist was so welcoming. Room was lovely, bed was very comfortable and bathroom really nice! We went to the bar on the top floor but was disappointed. Would be better if there was table service.

Due to labor strike, lot of services were not available..outside the hotel was a lot of construction, which was unavoidable by hotel staff but diminished the experience of getting around..Terrace bar was very good and had great views of the city

Very conveniently located with walking access to the central rail station and opera house. Very cordial and professional staff. Valet parking is a plus. They charge same price as self park.

Hotel was very clean, nice crisp bed linen, large white towels and room was comfortable. Good breakfast and seemed to cater well for those with allergens. Beware, in May 2026 big building work opposite hotel although this did not interfere with sleep. Great location for rail station and shops.

We had a fantastic stay and shall visit the venue again. Despite the strike, the staff were very helpful.
