The Summit Hotel was much livelier, and to be fair, we were only there for one night to visit family nearby. The location is very convenient — right across from the mall — and I wish we had more time to explore the mall and the restaurants.
The room was a disappointment, but to be fair, I don’t have anything to compare it to as an American tourist. I tried to take a shower, but the water was very cold. I think you need to be patient and let it warm up. There was almost no water pressure — just a trickle — and there was only one towel, but again, keeping in mind we’re in a different country.
There were plenty of staff on hand, and when I needed a shuttle to the airport, the front desk was very helpful and arranged it for me. They were professional and made the process easy.

Front desk staff were so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The property is older, but well kept and very clean. Rooms were quite large and overall a quiet location. It was really nice to have a Robinson's Mall next door as it rained quite a bit whilst we were visiting.

its next to robinsons tacloban, staff were friendly but the maintenance wasn't good. cleanliness is poor and the sink was clogged. human hair was everywhere. for the price i pay for the night, it wasn't worth it.

This is the only good option in the area. However the condition of the property is the only detractor. The carpeting in the hallways of the rooms is worn out. The tile in the bathrooms is cracked and the grout is falling out, gone and dirty. The pool area and lobby is in excellent condition but the rooms are falling apart and need to be updated.

Good cleaning, polite staff, good size rooms. Some room for improvement with room service system and shower setup. Room service recently converted to a digital system, but often missing menu items as meal times change. Had to call to get it fixed several times. Shower overhead is good, but handheld has low pressure and is mounted low.
