Exceptional staff, really went the distance when we had left some items in the room. Great sized room, very comfortable bed, fantastic pillows and powerful shower. A great nights sleep, a great breakfast at a hotel in a great central location in Stirling

Great central location for shops, restaurants and bars. Kitchen not open for dinner at night if you wanted a quiet night in but breakfast outstanding and good value. Double room small and needs upgraded but bathroom massive and appears newly done. Overall would return and staff very welcoming. Parking an added cost but does save you paying at shopping centre.

The hotel is a beautiful historic building in the centre of Stirling, once an infirmary, bank and library, and the exterior still has that charm. The location is excellent, with Stirling Castle and the Old Town Jail a short walk uphill, and plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. Parking is limited at the front but we paid £18 for 48 hours, and there’s extra parking behind the hotel. The public areas—bar, reception, lounge and breakfast room—are modern, stylish and welcoming, and staff were pleasant throughout. Unfortunately, our room (114) didn’t match the standard downstairs. The décor was very dated, the headboard had yellowed, the furniture was scratched, and the black sink was marked. There were only two usable plugs, no bedside sockets, no bedroom mirror, and the tiny fridge only held two complimentary tins of water. We also found hairs on the wall, toilet and bath. Breakfast was nice, though the stained blue cloth under the food made the area feel less hygienic. Overall, the hotel has huge potential thanks to its history, location and lovely communal spaces, but the rooms—especially ours—need refurbishment. I would stay again, but only in an upgraded room.

The hotel was pretty nice, the room did not have air con and it did end up being super hot while we were sleeping. The person who checked us in at reception was friendly but didn’t really give us much info about things such as what time breakfast was in the morning

Nice several hundred year-old Building. Five minute walk to the castle. Excellent location in old town.

Absolutely beautiful and well appointed hotel. In the perfect area for shopping and eating. Parking was easy and the staff was very helpful.

The location for Stirling town centre is excellent! The lobby bar and restaurant all look great. The staff at check in were lovely. However We did not like our room it was basic and looked onto a flat roof . There were no bedside tables and only 1 chair to sit on. The bed was in a platform which I tripped off during the night and the floor had squeaky floor boards. Staff were friendly and parking was good at £10 for 24 hours. We never complained to staff about our room as it was only 1 night . I think if we had paid for an upgrade the room may have been better?

The Colessio has great location (Just a short walk up to Stirling Castle), it has great staff, a nice bar and a reasonable breakfast. Like most places in Scotland, the breakfast could benefit from something other than sliced white bread. There are dark breads, full grain breads, full grain crackers (try breakfast in Norway) but they don't seem to come to Scottish hotels.. Nevertheless, in addition to the buffet there were cooked-to-order items such as Eggs Florentine and Eggs Benedict which were excellent. The room had all we need, it was at the back of the building with a view which was not memorable. I guess I need to learn that "King Deluxe" means "View of a Parking Lot." The room was baking in the sun, but fortunately the windows open so you can eventually cool down. (Blazing sun and hot temperatures are not on the list of things that travelers to Scotland usually write about). All in all, a positive experience.

Das Zimmer war sauber, aber sehr dunkel. Das Badezimmer sehr groß, hell und sauber. Das Hotel liegt zentral zur Burg und zur Stadt. Gefrühstückt haben wir dort nicht.

Collesio Hotel is in a superb location for seeing many of Stirlings historic sights. Few minutes walk from exceptional restaurants and pubs. Parking is available, few free, mostly paid at an immediately adjacent lot. The Hotel is in an historic building and there is a lovely bar/lounge area as you walk in. That is also where checkin is! Few oddities: The "fridge" is tiny and will fit a couple of beverages cans. We had a spacious large room with comfortable bed and pillows. The tiles in the beautiful bathroom, however, were broken and presented a tripping and cutting hazard. Hopefully they are fixing those. Staff was helpful.

Conveniently located for the castle and the centre of town. Bar and restaurant area are excellent although having Reception at the bar seems a little quirky. Useful after having the other half drive you there though. Room was spacious and clean. Parking had to be paid to a third party but the hotel staff were very helpful getting it done. No A/C. The lift only goes to the first floor so if you have mobility concerns, keep that in mind. We were on the second floor with heavy suitcases but the staff were more than happy to take them up and down the stairs for us.

Very cool building! We had the family suite, it was very spacious and unique. The room was very clean and comfortable. Great shower and even a soaking tub! Very easy to walk to shops and restaurants

Located in a cool building in a very convenient location. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Warning. Car parking is not free and is payable at all times. This is because it is managed by a third-party. Staff on arrival could have been polite and more helpful but reception staff were eventually welcoming. The room was clean and welcoming however not all windows had curtains so difficult to sleep. Breakfast - although it was individually plated and ordered, the food came as though it had been sucked for awhile.
