I had trouble checking in as they didn’t have my booking even though I had already pre-filled in their online checkin form to “ensure a smooth check-in” however they found me a room. Then in the morning when I wanted a shower the electric shower had no hot water I suspect the heating element was broken. I have stayed once before and wasn’t overly impressed but thought I would give it a second visit as it was local to where I needed to be for work and came in on budget for £90. Unfortunately I’ve decided it’s just a hotel I wish to stay at a 3rd time. Plus parking isn’t great as there is room for around 5 cars in their car park and there are probably between 17-20 rooms at the hotel. Although there is on street parking nearby. I can’t comment on the food or drinks as I didn’t try the facilities but the menus are all Meatfree options and I am a meat eater so opted to get food elsewhere.

Welcoming front of house staff. Well maintained property (the rooms were spacious, scrupulously clean and the en-suite looked to have been recently refurbished). Ordered breakfast was freshly cooked. Parking was a little congested.

Great value for money, room had everything we needed. Staff were very helpful and made us feel so welcome.

Had a great stay at the County Hotel. Very close to Craigendoran train station and not far to walk into Helensburgh itself. The staff were really helpful. Unfortunately we slept through breakfast having been to a party until the early hours but when I apologised ( you preorder some of the items ) the member of staff asked if I wanted anything to eat. Would definitely stay again.

Was ok, hadn’t appreciated it was vegetarian only.

Ample parking, the staff were great especially the young girl that does the meals she was fantastic, room was spotless & breakfast was great with plent to choose from, cooked food was lovely

Location. Your within walking distance of the town, train station if you require.

There was problems with the shower head and cubicle leaking so it then gave the room a damp smell. The Staff member was pleasant

Modernised hotel, comfortable room with a large bathroom. All food is vegetarian. Cooked breakfast was decent size, though prefer pork or beef sausages. 15 min walk to Helensburgh centre.

The room was really nice, the welcome you got from the owner was limited . It was strange that the restaurant only did vegetarian food, we had pizza's which were nice ,also they only did alcohol free drinks

It was generally a very noisy disappointing stay, The food was meatfree, there was no bar serving alcoholic drinks, no seating area to relax in and the last straw was the police knocking our door to make a statement about the disruption coming from the room next to ours.

Loved the bathroom, best shower we've had this holiday. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Welcomed, Kind hearted staff Clean and quiet

The room was very well decorated, spacious and comfortable. The staff was very welcoming and polite. The breakfast was a letdown. They should have put some yoghurts and pastries. I understand they are vegetarians, but I like to eat eggs in the morning. No beans either. Sorry, but you can't just have it one way. A hotel should cater for all, otherwise you should put very clearly that is vegetarian only.

Quiet, clean but basic. All I needed. Menu (meatless) was a bit limited bur food served was good, though a bit “chips with everything”.
