Great location; nice facility; bad kitchen
The hotel is located right at the exit of the Lion Rock; super convenience.
Stoned building with teak furniture; entire environment is nicely set; with comfortable bed.
However, food at the restaurant is awful. There are nice restaurants just next door; no need to have your meals in the hotel.
Also, I sent the message to the hotel to be sure of the address twice but never got any reply.

Poolen var dårligt vedligeholdt. Der lå klinker på bunden der var faldet af, og dæk brædder rundt om pool var knækket.
Vores værelse lå mod vejen og der var alt for meget larm om natten.
Søde ansatte og en fin morgenmad.
Området omkring hotellet er fint og der er nogle forskellige restauranter og tæt på forskellige seværdigheder.

We stayed here for two nights and were mostly satisfied, but here are some pros and cons.
Pros: It’s proximity to the rock, walking distance. Good beds. Good food, nice garden and bar area. Excellent service and hospitality. The staff did their best to assist with issues (like arranging for a room change) and there were a few...
Cons: Overall cleanliness in the rooms was not satisfactory. Low shower pressure and wifi signal. The biggest issue with our first room was that it was located right next to the Sigiriya road which was noisy enough to lose sleep over, so choose or ask for a room facing the garden if possible. Our next room did, and it was quiet, although this room had issues with small ants coming from the ceiling, mainly in the bathroom.

洗面所、シャワー室も含め部屋は綺麗でしたし、歯ブラシ、髭剃りなどアメニティや機器類が充実してました。しかし、入室時には偶々か、蚊が一匹飛んでいましたしシャワー室の排水口からか夕刻ゴキブリが出てきた。どちらも葬り去り平和に2日過ごしましたが、防音も含め機密性が気になる人には困るかもしれません。それでも私は、2分でシギリヤロック絶景やローカル食堂の立地と経済的部屋料金の面で十分満足でした。

The hotel is in a wonderful location in terms of walkability but the rooms are on the main road. The staff was kind and helpful when needed but not proactive - they never showed me the pool or told me about dinner options or activities for the New Year that the hotel organized. The room was mostly clean but there was food left from the previous guest in the fridge and the bathroom had mold and really needs an upgrade. The room was also only cleaned on the 2nd but not the 3rd day of my 4 days there. The bed was also way too soft (but I guess some people like that).

The dining was open to the outdoors. For dinner there was a singer. For breakfast there was an omelet
chef. It was quiet. In the morning an elephant walked by. Easy walking to the rock.
