EKHO Sigiriya

The dining was open to the outdoors. For dinner there was a singer. For breakfast there was an omelet chef. It was quiet. In the morning an elephant walked by. Easy walking to the rock.

Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Great food. Very comfortable bed. Only complaint is the walls in our room were very dirty

Ekho was a great place to stay, a fabulous location in easy reach of the Lion Rock fortress. The rooms are comfy, the food good and in easy reach of other bars and restaurants.

Good thing about this property is, its is close by Sigiriya Rock besides that there really is nothing the property has to offer. For convenience to the park, I will say stay here but be ready for worn down property with noisy room by the Main Street.

It’s a three star hotel and it shows. The location is the main selling point. Super convenient and walkable to all the bars and restaurants of Sigiriya. The rooms are decently sized and it comes with a king bed and an additional twin bed. There are definitely ants in the room and geicos too so fyi on that if that bothers you. You get what you pay for.

Easy access to town restaurants and the rock.

The staff were super friendly at check-in and were helpful with my heavy luggage. It is a pleasant 15 walk along the lake to the Kandy City Centre shopping mall.

Nice, modern and clean hotel just at the road at Sangriya. Hotel layout like in American motels :) Nice and quiet. Hotel restaurant available and local ones within minutes walk. There is a place for a swimming pool, but there is none, so it is probably planned in the future. Unfortunately, after booking a room and arriving quite late (around 8:00 P.M.), the staff "couldn't handle" the fact that we are with a 13 year old child and our booking made via hotels.com includes one king size bed AND one queen size bed. Unfortunately, showing the reservation with above description did not help and the manager demanded an additional payment for a larger room with an extra bed - even though the error was on the hotel's side and such a room was free anyway. It wasn't even a question of breakfast for 3, which we opted out of when booking anyway (we have booked without breakfast, room only). My booking was done correctly. Unfortunately, the stuff wasn't up to the task. For this reason, we did not stay another night - we found another accommodation where there was no such problem.

Chec in was too slow. Breakfast was too expensive. Property was beautiful. Room was excellent.

Fairly clean with air conditioning and a nice private restroom for each bedroom. The only problem were the fixtures. The doors are squeeky and are coming off the hinges. Yeah, that's right, the doors are literally falling off. You have to lift it and force it back into the slot. The chairs on the patio are also falling apart and you can't sit on them. The location could not be better - literally a few feet from the entrance to the Rock fortress with the best local restaurants just adjacent as well. Overall the place needs renovation but for $50 night it's probably the best deal you can get right now. BTW do NOT pay for any buffet at the hotel, cheaper and more delicious food is available 100 feet down the road.

The cleanness is okay. The service was terrible, we booked a room with 1 double bed and 1 twin bed, for 2 adults and 1 child (actually we are 1 adult and 2 children at 12 and 8) with half board, however when we arrived we were asked to pay extra money for the child's meals(dinner and breakfast). Obviously we refused and as the result, they only served 2 sets of dinner and the contents of them were very poor which you can't imagine. After that, they gave us a room with only 1 double bed and then another room also with only 1 double bed after we claimed the bed configuration was not right. And then after about 40 min, we finally got a right room with right beds, after strongly arguing with them. Totally disappointing after read a lot of good reviews about the property.

Very good option within walking distance of the exit of Sirigiya Rock; the entrance is a bit further away. Clean and comfortable, being in the end room the shower water took a while to get hot and the flow wasn't very strong. The breakfast is reasonable, a buffet with a decent enough choice, but very weak coffee. Great selection of reasonable local restaurants a few meters down the road.

Small property but clean and very close to Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Food quality is excellent. The staff particularly in restaurant are great. On the whole really enjoyed our stay. Wish to thank particularly the staff in Restaurant.
