The hotel is old, but nice. Staff are helpful. However, bathroom ventilation fan can be cleaned. And the room could be brighter.

We arrived shortly before midnight and the staff was very helpful in getting us checked in quickly and finding food. The hotel rooms were very nice and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The location near Old Town and the cruise port were ideal. Highly recommended!!!

We were charged over $1000 USD for a “suite” that desperately needed new paint, carpets and better bathroom. It was advertised at $580 which was bad enough. We have cruised out of Southampton before. Apparently there were 5 ships docked that day plus other City events. I booked through Expedia and was told my issue was with Expedia and to deal with them. I would never book a room with that chain again.

Terrible view from room of a flat roof with air conditioning units . The room itself was fine , very clean , as described breakfast good, location good and the car park is a bargain. Staff nice, bathroom looked to have been updated but the carpet all the way through needs changing

Great property to stay in, had no issues at all and would recommend to anyone, especially those travelling on business to the area.

We there here the night before our cruise and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautiful in every way, from the gardens, restaurants, rooms and lounges. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Staff at check in was fantastic. She recognized I was a returning guest from 1 year ago and updated my room. Breakfast was very good many options including ability to special order eggs.

We were going to cruise the next day. Hotel was beautiful, comfortable, convenient. We were very close to the port. Conveniently located near a great pub restaurant-Duke of Wellington. Would love to have stayed there longer.

The room was very comfortable, spacious, quiet and worked well for three people. Bathroom was very nice also. Breakfast was very good with lots of food choices. Was a bit disappointed to not be able to check in early, but overall this was a very nice hotel to stay at.

Unfortunately there were several major issues on this visit. In the room the tv did not work properly, the kettle was faulty and the bathroom door did not close properly. We were given another room which was great. Then the hot water failed on the hotel and we were 24 hours without hot water in the room. No gesture of goodwill offered eg a drinks voucher for the bar. I understand this was a city problem but a flat refusal from the management for any compensation for this. Not good to have to have a cold wash and hair wash. Breakfast standards gone down in the 2 months since our last visit. We visit relatives in Southampton but will be looking elsewhere for future visits.
