Great room, great staff. They take your card details if you book from hotels.com as proof in case of damaged. The breakfast is horrible in my opinion. The food quality itself is not the problem the item choices are. So instead of hasbrowns you have small potato cubes, it really killed the mood. And fruits were tinned. To so many hotel breakfasts ive been, its rhe first time fruits were not fresh but tinned. Just surprised me as I didnt like them. Toast was pre toasted which also surprised me because toast is just sitting there going cold. I like the people and their helpfullness but it doesn't maintain the standard of the mill hotel with this breakfast choices

Good breakfast, location and staff

Very happy with condition of room and all facilities on offer. Room was exceptionally hot and stuffy due to weather and fan was provided but was uncomfortable especially during night. Noise from main road did make sleeping difficult and more if window open. My husband stubbed and broke/dislocated his small toe on the bed base during night (opening window!) and distance from reception did become more problematic. Parking was good and secure for motorbikes although spaces taken up quickly. Great breakfast and all cooked items and toast freshly prepared in adequate amounts for everyone. Swimming pool and changing areas were excellent and very clean.

Clean bright hotel. Receptionist quite abrupt on arrival. I E mailed ahead to say we where arriving later at planned. When asking about breakfast, her reply was well as you’ve arrived late in the afternoon. Not many slots available!! 8am or 10am only. Needed to be at an appointment by 9-30am. So 8am it was. May be helpful to ask guest to book a slot online at an earlier date! Or day before? I’m glad to say our stay at two other venues in Chester , where much better

We had an excellent check-in experience. Caroline was very friendly and helpful. We were just on an overnight stay and I needed to be up to leave before scheduled breakfast time the next morning whilst my wife was staying on for the day until I returned the following evening. She offered to sort out a breakfast box for me which she said that the night staff would put up for me and booked my wife in for breakfast in the hotel at 8.45. My wife said her breakfast was very good quality and plentiful. Sadly mine food was not. When I went to get it at 6.30 in the morning there was some confusion about how many we wanted despite there only being 2 of us and my wife had a booking that had been written down. This was rectified quickly but the contents of my bag was disappointing to say the least. An apple, an orange, a pot of yogurt with a takeaway tea and a warm croissant with melted pats of butter(heated by the tea) and a small container of jam. Hardly inspiring and disappointing considering how highly my wife rated hers. The bar staff were friendly and attentive on Saturday evening.

Good location, tasty breakfast, the indoor spa pool and the suna are excellent. The only down side is no air conditioning, there is an electric fan provided but it doesn't help much. This is my 2nd time stay, sure will come again

Very nice hotel and lovely bar area and restaurant. The room Was very clean and spacious. The bathroom had bath and shower but small sink but nowhere to put toiletries.

Lovely room, downside no air con, but there was a fan and could leave the balcony doors open. Good breakfast, staff very friendly and helpful. Location within easy reach of town and not far from the station. Access to the spa. Would definitely stay again.

The room was small and the bathroom. Staff friendly. There was no bottled water in your room, every hotel we have stayed always have the bottled water, and biscuits. Asked for a menu for desserts, waited 15 minutes or so, and then we went and asked for the menu but overall the service was okay.

Everything g was very good. Only negative was the room was noisyfrom traffic to hot to have windows closed

Breakfast and bar areas good, food a d service good, room showing its age and needs updating, location for town centre and canal walks ideal, overall for price of room it was average

Bra läge med några minuters promenad till centrum. Ligger intill en trafikerad väg, men bra ljudisolering. Badrummet var rent men skulle behöva en renovering. Rummet var varmt och saknade luftkonditionering.

Brilliant location for bus, rail and city centre all a short walk away. We would definitely recommend a short break here. We will definitely stay here again. Love Chester.

Visited in the middle of heat wave, unfortunately no air con - the portable fan in room was poor so asked at reception for a replacement. Within minutes housekeeping arrived with a new fan & also released the lock on the window to allow more fresh air flow into the room. Great location for exploring Chester city
