On my first evening I tried to take a shower and there was no hot water. Reception told me that someone was repairing the boiler. The next morning I was awakened by the sound of water dripping from the ceiling above our shower. Reception suggested that a someone had left the shower door open above our room. This continued for more than an hour. We could not use our shower as water was dripping so fast from ceiling. I asked to be moved to another room but they told me the problem had been fixed. The next morning the dripping started again. The brown stains on the ceiling suggested that the problem had existed for some time.

Don't believe any pictures you see on Expedia. Had to pay for the room before they would let us have the key. Room was in a state of disrepair, holes in ceiling, threadbare carpets and generally dirty. Returned to reception and they offered an alternative room. This room was just as bad. Ridiculously hot with only 1 window that opened. A ridge under the carpet that was a trip hazard and a bathroom that was filthy. Returned to reception again and was offered a 3rd room to look at but decided to get a refund and find an alternative hotel. Been 4 days and have emailed the hotel but the refund hasn't been credited to my card yet. All in all an appalling hotel which has seen better days. If you do decided to stay, definitely check your room before paying as I feel that getting my refund processed is going to be hardwork.

No bar, hotel could do with a bit of a makeover, but the price reflected that, value for money & served a purpose for a work trip

I booked this hotel for my family going by the reviews and photos. I know the price was reasonable but I expected the standard that was advertised. Our room was not cleaned the next day So the bed was unmade, dirty cups and towels. There was a bar which was not open and when we asked reception where to get a drink they said there was a shop around the corner. My family’s room: plug socket came off the wall. We had a foot print on our room, no hair dryer. The sheets were clean but that was all And beware of the hot water it’s scalding do not put a child in the shower on their own. There is a warning sign but it comes out and hits you fast. I think the company are trying their best but it needs a lot of work on it. And more staff. Sorry I had to say all this. Jennifer

Nedgånget hotell, trasig hiss, halvdan frukost. Enda positiva var läget.

I phoned to upgrade my room no available rooms so I asked to cancel for a full refund which they agreed and I never received my money back.. very un helpful and very hard to contact a human on the phone.. not recommended in any shape or form..

Great location, perfect place

Eu gostei da arquitetura do prédio. Parece bem antigo. O quarto é simples mas tinha tudo o que eu precisava pra passar a noite. E a vista é de tirar o fôlego.

Söderläge med stark sol och ingen AC, bara en golvfläkt och endast möjligt att öppna ett fönster med 10 cm glipa. Bra dusch - uppskattat.

Bar not serving alcohol and was never open. Not notice prior to booking, parking isn’t easy but good location

Hote was a good position overlooking sea That was its only redeeming feature

Place was ok, room smelled like smoke which was annoying, view was great. Really hot day and windows fixed shut only complaint really. Saw why though as seagull came knocking

Great situation on the seafront with the possibility of finding on road parking near by. Perfect for a group like ours.

Terrible. Mold and damp on the walls. Clear water damage. Mold on the windows. As soon as you walk in the room its so damp the air feels thick. Please avoid. I booked 2 nights here but couldnt stay because of how unfit for purpose the rooms are. I got told they will personally contact me for refund details within 24 hours. Its been 2 days of radio silence. Please avoid if your health is your priority.

Nice hotel and an ideal location

Basic room, very few amenities , i’ve stayed at six hotels in Eastbourne but I would not give this hotel a good rating…….

For one night the hotel was convenient. Right on the seafront. Unfortunately we stayed during a heatwave and the room was oppressively hot, not helped by only being able to have one window open a few inches and the other being fixed shut. Thankfully a fan had been left in the room which we had to keep running all night. Not a great night's sleep but that's not really the fault of the hotel. For what we paid I'm not complaining but the hotel is very tired looking with worn carpets everywhere. I never expect luxury as I don't pay that sort of money but the hotel could definitely do with some investment to improve it's appeal.

The hotel has just changed hands, and the staff are trying. There are several things that could be fixed outside but overall twe had a pleasant stay. We were there for 2 nights. You can tell that everything is on a budget, but you get what you pay for. Don't expect 5 star facilities if you only pay 2 star price.
