The room we had was very dark and we had to have the lights on all the time (room 113). the window is very small and the extra thick netting kept out a lot of light. The bathroom was is great need of updatinging. when using the toilet your arms hit the toilet paper holder and with only approx 18" between the wall and bath panel, it's not ideal for cleaning yourself. the room by the sink is also extreamly limited and you have to use the bedroom for drying off after using the bath/shower.

We were allocated a spacious family room. The hotel provided fresh milk on request for tea and glasses of ice for cold refreshments. Very nice shower. Lovely swimming pool, sauna and steam room facilities. Great location for exploring Caernarfon. Breakfast was self service, but you have to book your time in advance and if the hotel is busy, you might not get breakfast when you want it. Food options were limited and lacked variety eg fruit choice was apple or melon, no full fat yoghurts, same foods provided each day. But the hash browns were delicious.

Overall we had a lovely stay. The room was a good size. The location was good. Unfortunately our bathroom was not as clean as it should have been on arrival. Other days the room was cleaned properly. Booked hotel as it had a spa a shame the water in the pool and jacuzzi was not heated and cold.

Second stay this year. Friendly helpful staff, good food and service. Clean room with daily housekeeping.

I am sorry I do not remember the names of all the wonder staff. From the daytime desk staff and maitre d to all the staff I didn't mention. If we return to Wales, we indeed stop at the Celtic hotel.

The hotel was clean enough and staff friendly. However, the decor of the whole building and rooms is very tired and needs a full upgrade / improvement of decor.

Friendly efficient staff, good food and lively bar. Generally in need of a bit of a makeover but charming none the less. Room was a bit too hot ( no air con)

Good hotel if a bit dated. No fridge or air conditioner in room which during this spell of hot weather could have been very beneficial. When I requested a room with air con we were told they didn’t have any but were moved to a larger room on request. No issues or additional cost for the change.

We enjoyed a 5 night stay making the most of the pool which was a lovely experience every evening. Sometimes we used it twice a day. The breakfast buffet was really good and had a good choice of foods, both hot & cold. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The location was good, it has good parking and we would return to this hotel.

Nice hotel, food ok, spa was nice pool a bit cool. I had a "suprior" which nice but very noisy in the mornings, as it was at the front and had delivery trucks and refuge collections.

A great old hotel, perfect location, dated here and there but first class service from all the staff and good spa facilities.

Beautiful historic building, friendly helpful staff

Restaurant menu was ok for couple of nights, very busy due to several coach trips.

Large clean room. Wifi is fantastic brilliant for business. Plenty of parking.

Relatively quiet. Bedroom excellent

The room was fairly basic, it was very warm and difficult to open the window. The spa wasn't open when we arrived, which was disappointing. The staff were very pleasant and the food was very good.

We enjoyed our one night stay at the Celtic Royal as part of a tour of north Wales.
