Ceramics is a craft that can be learned easily. Ceramics are objects made from clay through a firing process. Its plastic and soft nature makes it easy to shape according to unlimited imagination. Moreover, with special techniques, clay can become objects or handicrafts that have unique characteristics.

We have several classes you can choose from:

Regular Class:

Regular handbuilding class

The pinching (massage) technique is one of the basic techniques in making ceramics which uses the fingers in the formation process by massaging consistently. The resulting work usually emphasizes the texture of each finger massage.

In this class we provide general theory about ceramics to participants, demonstrations in making and assistance in the manufacturing process starting from forming, as well as applying color with engobe to the ceramic bodies made by participants.

Regular wheel throwing class

The throwing technique is one of the basic techniques in making ceramics that uses a turntable. The resulting work is usually cylindrical in shape, such as a cup, bowl or plate.

In this class we provide general theory about ceramics to participants, demos in making turning techniques as well as assistance in the manufacturing process from forming, trimming (tidying, making legs), and painting with the application of underglaze on the body of the ceramics made by the participants.
