The imposing Duomo Cathedral in Milan is the third largest Catholic Church in the word after Saint Peter’s Basilica and the Siviglia Cathedral.  It is a “must see” for any tourist to the city. But how do you do justice to it if you have limited time.  Join us on this 1.5 hour tour and we will ensure we make every minute count!
You will be met in the Vittorio Emanuele Arcade situated next to the Duomo by our licensed and extremely knowledgeable guide who will take you straight away to see the inside of this imposing edifice. 
The church, built over several centuries, is in the Gothic style.  Five naves are delineated by forty columns.  There are over fifty-five amazing, stained glass windows that were decorated starting in the 4th century and ending in the late 20th century and which depict a variety of themes; Saint John the Evangelist, The Apocalypse and the New Testament. 
As we finish the tour of the interior we take the lift to the roof of the Duomo.  No less imposing than the interior the rooftop terraces  are a lacework of arches, flying buttresses (where rainwater is hidden), pinnacles and statues.  Overlooking and protecting Milan is the golden statue of the Madonnina; standing 4.16 metres high this magnificent statue is the city’s symbol. 
From the vantage point of the terraces you also have the most spectacular view of Milan; the 21st century skyscrapers now dotted amongst the grand old buildings of the business capital of Italy.  What a great way to spend 1.5 hours in Milan!
