－What You Can Expect－

Mt. Fuji is an active volcano, which straddles the boundary of Shizuoka and Yamanashi Prefectures. It is also known as the highest mountain in Japan at 3,776 m. Mt. Fuji enjoys fame as one of the “100 Famous Japanese Mountains” and is also known for one of Japan's "Three Holy Mountains." It is viewed as a sacred site under the force of a mountain spirit. Join a Mt. Fuji Sunrise tour in July or August, the best time for Mt. Fuji-climbing.

Begin at Yoshidaguchi 5th Station along the Yoshida Trail. Take in the natural scenery on your way up. After a short rest in a hut at the 8th Station, continue toward the summit (10th Station) before sunrise. Witness dazzling beams of sunrise called "Goraikou" for blessing and good luck.
