This is a nice boutique hotel - we love the location and it’s got great amenities.

The Abode Belconnen is a well run hotel apartment. It is clean and quiet and comfortable. The only thing I don’t like about the place is the common area. This is where the restaurant is located. Although, in all the times I have stayed here, the only people I have ever seen dining there for lunch or dinner are the staff!! I have seen a few people on occasion having breakfast or coffee on the lounge seats by the window. The menu is fine for hotel dining but the place lacks atmosphere and almost has a school cafeteria look about it. It could be way more inviting aesthetically. It’s a shame because the area around the Abode is a bit soulless too. So a nice/bar restaurant would be a welcome addition. The hotel apartment is located in a laneway and as such you would expect it to have a bit of a ‘vibe’ about it but it doesn’t at all. There are just a couple of boring supermarkets, a bottle shop and a few very meagre type restaurants/takeaways. All quiet and with changeable opening times. There is also the Canberra Labour Club at the end of the laneway but that is a bit of a dive!

I checked in late at night 8pm, and the building has fire alarm triggered where all guest has to be evacuated at night, my baby got woken up and cries all the way out. I left my Tshirt in the bathroom when leaving, contacted reception twice and someone promised me will let me know about lost item but never did…

Very short stay - hotel quite new in a great location in Belconnen

This is a really nice place to stay. Close to Belconnen Mall, restaurants and the Labor Club.

Pro: * Great location, walkable distance to nearby food options, lake front and Westfield. * Pretty good pool and outdoor commons/grounds area * Good sized rooms Cons: * My family room had popcorns on the carpet albeit slightly covered by the curtains when I first got in the room, which quickly made me wonder how well the rooms are cleaned as they should be pretty visible to anyone to clean. * Sink in master bathroom was semi blocked with water very slowly draining. * Exhaust fan in master bathroom was not working * Booked for parking but there was not enough space. We had a space and left for dinner with friends and came back late the two nights we were there and when we came back, all spaces reserved for the hotel was occupied.

Great facilities, convenient location, great local restaurants

This place was very nice and clean. Friendly staff and spacious rooms. We got a king bed and it was nice and comfy

Good location & very convenient to shops & 10mins to the city. Bathroom needed some storage space or even a shelf of some sort & some hooks would have been helpful ☺️

Liked the property as with all Abode properties. A little disappointed that the room service at the Belconnen property finished at 8:30pm when listed as 9:00pm on the in room menu.

Preferred place to stay although when I paid was told I would receive a bottle of wine on arrival, and asked and was told not on my booking ??

My add pop aren’t of choice , close enough but far enough from city centre, quiet and a beautiful lake to walk around before work

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and overall, we loved it! It's perfect for families – the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the rooms were nice and quiet, with dark curtains that helped us get a great night's sleep. The hotel is impeccably clean, which was a big plus for us. The location is also fantastic, with plenty of shops and entertainment nearby, making it easy to explore the area. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The only reason we didn't give it a full 5-star rating was because the living area space wasn't quite as functional as we'd hoped. With the sofa bed folded out for our 5th guest, there wasn't much room to gather around and watch TV together. That said, everything else was excellent, and we would definitely recommend this hotel to others

The room was great for a person with a disability with the exception of the bed. Way to soft. I have a muscular condition and did not feel secure sitting on the edge to get in and out of bed and then trying to turn over was challenging. Please remember that not all clients are techno heads and want to use scan codes, or constantly look things up on their phones etc At least there was contact number if I had got into difficulty, but some basic printed info on room service, the restaurant and what was available would have been nice to have in the room. Thank you.

Loved being on same level as the pool and gym , the wind sound through the building was somewhat annoying.

The bed was super large and comfy. Didn’t like that you had to pay extra for parking and had no other options. Also only stayed 2 nights but they don’t service your room. Didn’t clean daily or make bed. Had to ask for clean towels!
