Staff were not able to tell me what restaurants there were when asked if there was a Chinese or Italian restaurant in the area.
Air conditioning kept going on to standby even though the room was still cold
At 12.00 midnight on night three there was a false fire alarm and evacuation that had us all standing in Canberra's cold night for an hour. There did not appear to be anyone representing the hotel on site overnight. It also did not seem that either the police or fire brigade attended.
The next morning the reception staff did not know about the evacuation.

Room was devoid of any character, very old linen and towels, bedding awful and not cotton so felt hot all night,. No basic amenities such as toothbrush, shower curtain brown all around the edges. Tv hung in a wall where it couldnt be seen from the bed, massive glass windows/doors overlooking the carpark driveway and not soundproofed so could hear cars driving in and out all night. Only one staff member and they needed to open gate to check in- they were taking reservation calls so couldnt get in or out while the phone busy. House keeping walked in the room while I was in the shower despite the do not disturb sign. A seriously budget stay for a not so budget price. Wont be back

The rooms at this hotel are great ! Large and very clean and I’ve stayed here numerous times
Unfortunately I was in room 112 which was right on top of the entrance to building where around 1000 residents drive in and out all day and night and the banging of cars on grates and garage doors

Having to stream the tv through the phone is too complicated for an older person not good with technology. Having a normal tv set up would be better. Also there is virtually no parking nearby to pick up guests without walking

Room was above a noisy generator that was running from midnight onwards for hours. Could not get to sleep. Diesel fumes were coming into the room from the two large exhausts just below the windows. This was room 115. Will not be back and won’t send my staff back there unfortunately. Otherwise, place was clean and staff were friendly.

Small bed dishwasher was tiny and difficult to use … it didn’t fit the plates provided in it.
Tv in bedroom didn’t connect to live tv as it dropped out continuously unless holding the cable in.
No opening windows for fresh air.

The Hotel didn't answer the phone for over 40 mins, I was then cut of twice when I rang back.
There is no parking outside the hotel and you are unable to access parking until you have checked (counter intuitive and very annoying)
On checking in, the staff member was surly and ambivalent to say the least, will definitely not stay there or at an Adobe by choice again.
