Manager Michael and all the staff at reception were exceptional in getting our two harbour view rooms close together on same floor. Michael even escorted us to the rooms to make sure we were happy with them, and they were perfect!
Location on the Esplanade Lagoon swimming park was fantastic for our family because our 6 year old grandson loved the swimming.
The open air bar and restaurant on lagoon side was so convenient for us, very bright & airy area, that flowed seamlessly into the waterfront. We felt it was the best location in Cairns! We really liked the Parkade at the Hotel because we had a rental car and it was quick & easy to get to the car on excursion days. We’re super happy we picked the Crystallbrook Flynn!

For a fairly big hotel, this place was exceptionally great! Love the location, Love their pools, love the bar and restaurant area that all opens up onto the streets. Like a resort feel but not hectic at all and many amenities near by.

I wish I could review the hotel (5) and the room (2) separately. The lively, resort-like hotel has lovely staff, a great breakfast, live music, and is surrounded by bars and little restaurants. It’s a minute walk to the public lagoon pool and about 8 minutes to the boat if you’re going snorkeling with Reef Magic.
Room 907 in the esplanade tower looks nice, has a comfy bed and a big balcony. Unfortunately it smells horrible. Damp, musty, sweaty…nasty. Perhaps it’s seasonal? I’m here at the end of November. The balcony (nice view if you don’t look down) overlooks the roof of the night market, which has VERY loud AC units.
The hotel is lovely. Room E907 is not.
