Great location for an overnight in Melbourne for Medical appointment. Close to Westfield Chadstone shopping centre. Value for money. Outstanding staff service. Check a breeze. Free parking + a couple of drink vouchers. We always stay here since 2014

Matthew Flinders Hotel staff went above and beyond for our stay. Unfortunately, a pipe burst down the road which is completely out of control of the hotel. They rang and explained the situation before we arrived to see if we were still happy to stay. To which we still stayed and had water. Place was clean, tidy and well presented. I would recommend this hotel it's a great spot and only a 20min walk to Chadstone shopping center.

Staff are very nice, Room AC is super weak and positioned in a corner that doesn't cover the room
Light is so bad that it literally doesn't do anything useful at night
Bed was so bad we couldn't sleep at all, you sink inside the mattress and uncomfortable at all

Honestly, the standard of cleanliness & service matched that of a 5* hotel. The staff were really welcoming & friendly so check in/out was seamless. My room was absolutely spotless & I had the best nights sleep on that super comfy mattress! It was also surprisingly quiet for the location. The attention to detail was impressive. There’s even a folder with the menu, general info & a list of local attractions & eateries which would be perfect for travellers unfamiliar with the area. I highly recommend this hotel & I’ll definitely stay again!

We have stayed there several times in the past 2 years. Our room was only serviced with clean towels. The beds were left unmade and no fresh crockery each day. Other clients played loud music after 11pm
