BEDS ARE TOO SOFT / PILLOW IS TOO HIGH - the mattress is cheap and soft. The pillows are too high. Resulting in hip low / neck high posture. Asked reception for lower pillow and they don’t have any. FIRE ALARM WENT OFF 3 TIMES FRIDAY NIGHT - saw this as a concern from someone else. It happened to me during my Thursday to Sunday stay. Awful sleep as a result. My suggestion to Rydges is 1) fix your alarm or 2) put a sign saying A$2000 fine for false alarms to deter hooligans from pulling it. SERVICE IS HORRIBLE - asked for more hangers. Called twice, no delivery. Went down to reception twice, no delivery. Went down to reception one more time, then they gave it to me. Service staff are new and poorly trained so no clue where the equipment is and how to handle these inquiries. KITCHEN / ROOM SERVICE FOR FOOD IS GOOD - one saving grace is that the food is good. The staff downstairs at the kitchen are really nice. OVERALL: I value my sleep so I will never stay here or at any Rydges again.

My room was unfortunately next to the lifts which i could hear moving up and down, also the air-conditioning was very very loud, apart from that lovely bed and very cleam

Biggest issue of our stay with the 2 x 2 bedroom apartments we booked is that the oven and cooktop in the kitchen that is shown in the pics of the 2 bed apartments online is not able to be used. Due to strict dietary requirements we needed to prepare our own food. The poorly equipped kitchen even has two frypans in it! Other than that, the housekeeping service is hit and miss, you have to beg for it, ask several times each day. Even then they may not come. My 87 & 86 year old parents had to clean their own room, one day. Found three housekeepers on the day they didn’t come, in a room, 1 working, 1 talking, 1 on her phone. We paid $4,200 in accom for 10 nights in total, and then to be charged $38 per day for carparking is despicable. Staff always friendly. Location is great, hotel is in good condition, except for the lifts and bit dangerous/ scary to use.

Great location. Easy check-in with no contact check-in options. Room was spacious and clean.

Having the bar & restaurant at the main floor was great. The hotel's driveway in and overall location, decor , quiet atmosphere & cleanliness were appreciated. The exercise equipment room is far too chilling of a temperature & oddly situated aside meeting / banquet rooms on a mezanine level. If a pool were part of this hotel I would rate it higher. If also the actual list of items were in the room's mini bar upon arrival would be less annoying than as a non user of any mini bar's amenities I surely don't wish to be charged for items which were not there ever. Further, happy hour pricing while yes beverage reached a table prior to the 6 pm pricing double up moment, were seemingly processed at full price alongside a restaurant meal when the meal tab was entered to the hotel's screen ::: Small irritating factors :: generally exceedingly pleased overall.... would surely recommend !

Pillows are too high. Air conditioning was noisy & kept us awake. False & loud fire alarm in the morning just topped off a bad night.
