Clean quiet close to shops car parking bit confusing If needing to get car out outside hours there is a number to ring and they will give you a code to get into the stairwell of the car park . Staff very accommodating Overall great stay

very nice and clean hotel, near shopping centre, just not easy to find car parking around the hotel, so need to park in the shopping centre and pay for it then walk to the hotel.

This is a very nice hotel and is definitely as advertised considering it was one of the cheaper options right in the heart of the Canberra CBD. We parked in the Canberra centre which is a shopping centre and it was a little bit of a walk -about two blocks with our luggage, but not too bad. The only thing to look out for is that you can stay with your pet (or maybe just dogs?) in some of the rooms so if you don’t want a pet room, in case you are allergic, you should ensure that you are not assigned a pet room. Our room was very clean, but it did have a faint smell of dog.

We enjoyed a lovely 2-night stay at Sebel Canberra Civic. We were greeted very warmly by the staff and were grateful to accept a later checkout on our final morning. The cooking facilities were fantastic and the room was very spacious. You were not far from shops with plenty of restaurants around. We will gladly return in the future when we next return to Canberra.

Poorly maintained - AC unit extremely noisy - and useless staff regarding parking instructions.

The hotel was well placed, next to shopping centre and restaurants. Parking can be a challenge but we found no issues parking nearby on the street. The mattress was not as firm as we'd liked. Overall good place to stay.

Good location. Walkable to all the eateries around and the shopping centre. Convenient parking location with good price, especially on weekends and public holidays.

Great Hotel, Very comfortable bed and room. Highly recommend going to Clover restaurant next door.

The hotel itself and the room is nice and clean. There isn't really parking on site so beware you may have to walk to and from Canberra Centre for your car (with a reduced rate upon hotel validation)

Great location, kitchenette handy though could do with more crockery and cutlery.

Poor communication

The Sebel is a great place to stay. It’s right in town and at close proximity to shops, library, restaurants and bus stop.Excellent staff and housekeeping.However,there is a safety hazard in the rooms with a step at the door leading to the bathrooms. A few times we stripped in the night and when I called front desk to check if there is another room to move in,we were told that all the rooms are the same. This is the only problem which makes me think of not returning next time to this beautiful place.

We stayed for three nights as part of a family holiday. The hotel is located in an ideal location, close to shops and restaurants. The family room was comfortable, although the beds were somewhat hard. Most amenities were provided and to a good quality. Whilst there is no on-site parking, check-in staff were really helpful is providing suggestions.
