Location was great, right next to the pier for Gordon River Cruise and parking provided during the cruise period after check out. The bistro served great food and highly recommended. Some hiccups during check in about the room location and bistro reservation but were eventually solved.

It was the perfect getaway in a great location with a fantastic view.

Great location. Stayed in the premium harbour room which was such a great view and nice to have the extra lounge space. It’s also only a short walk down the Stepa to rhe harbour front and esplanade.

Stunning views of the harbour. Close to restaurants and shops. Beautiful little town.

This place is well located as a base for everything in Strahan. Steps from places to eat, Gordon River Cruises, The Ship That Never Was play. The property itself is dated and the amenities sparse but it’s comfortable enough for the convenience.

Adequate comfortable accommodation

Location was good, nice old building unfortunately smelt musty . We were unable to obtain a toaster apparently they are a fire hazard apart from that a very nice place to spend a couple of days

Loved the staff so helpful and amenities, well done. View42 restaurant was woeful. Food was cold staff were wonderful. Say no more.😩

Buffet dinner at restaurant was over priced for the selection and most of the meat selections were only just warm and not hot like meat should be when served as a buffet

Nicest cottage on the waterfront. Clean. Great shower products. Comfortable bed.

This was so convenient with food options in walking distance and the cruise terminal right there.

Good location with a clean room. Few observations on this hotel. I believe they had become complacent as they are the main hotel in Strahan and act as such - they are connected/own the main restaurants it appears. Reception staff are not very welcoming - we arrived early, the town was not full and other guests appeared to get an early check in. We were told ours was not ready and when I asked could they call me whe. It was I was told they did k no it have permission to dial a UK mobile (really they are a tourist hotel!) - they advised they would email. I never received an email! The promotion of the room had inaccuracies. I booked waterview room (with stairs). We ended up in a room that required us to take our cases up a lengthy ramp - we were able to do this others may be less able. Need to make it clearer in room details. The room was comfortable but as others have said there is a tired look and feel about it - we had to request replacement bulbs in the main room and the bathroom, which were done effectively but question how often rooms are checked. Overall an acceptable stay but the customer experience delivered by the hotel needs some work or maybe they need more competition.

Room was in dire need of renovation very tired. 5 lights in the room and bathroom didn’t work. The bathroom tap ran continuously and the staff when told of this upon arrival and departure didn’t care. The blinds in the room were also old and broken. Location was excellent.
