The room was very clean but the bathroom is outdated with no shelf for the shampoo, conditioner and body wash so they sat on the floor. This would be such an easy fix. The older style vanity provides little room for toiletries and I had to lean in a lot to get close to the mirror when putting on make up. Good water pressure from the shower. The mattress was noisy but comfortable. I actually forgot to turn the iron off and it doesn't have an auto switch off if left on, so management should consider replacing it to avoid potential fire. I didn't return to the room for about 5 hours. Sorry big mistake on my behalf. As for location we didn't go to the beach but it was just outside, perfect for beachgoers. The view outside our sliding door was awesome. There was only parking for one vehicle but the reception was really helpful and provided directions for an alternative and offered to let security know to check the vehicle at night.

Weekend stay at The Cottage with friends. Fantastic location only a short walk to lagoon & the beach.

Close to river lots people passing our room on walks with dogs Bit noisy with cars and trucks and a hoon late at night

The location and helpful staff.

Room was recently renovated but still very dated and hodgepodge.. AC and tv ran off the same circuit… was very clean but that’s the price difference $200 - $400 a night at this location so you get what you pay for

The team there always go out of their way to make sure we're comfortable and welcome. It's a home away from home

We enjoyed our overnight stay at the clan, great location. easy walk to everything. lovely outlook to the river and Terrigal beach. all of the staff are friendly.

Slightly dated but lovely place to stay with pretty outlook and great service including Maccoa Cafe for breakfast.

Old and tired. Dirty kitchen

We have stayed at The Clan previously and although very dated it has always been clean enough and is in a very convenient location. Unfortunately, this time we were in a family room (water side) which was both dirty, moldy and ridden with cockroaches! My 8yo son and husband ended up sleeping in the car due to the high number of cockroaches in the bedroom and beds. Very off-putting and unfortunately we will never stay there again.
