I recently stayed at Windsor Hotel, which boasts a rich history of over 150 years, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon our arrival with two large pieces of luggage, we were greeted by a male staff member who promptly walked away to the restroom, showing no interest in assisting us. When we were checking out and walking to the door, the bellboy saw us but chose to walk away to assist other guests with their luggage for a ride in a Mercedes-Benz, leaving us to manage on our own. It’s unclear if he had any advantage in doing so. We ended up putting our luggage back in the car ourselves while navigating several stairs at the entrance. While the female receptionist was helpful, the overall attitude of the staff left much to be desired. The cleanliness of the hotel was also concerning; I found a spider web above the bed, and the windows had clearly gone uncleaned for quite some time. It’s disheartening to see such a historic establishment being let down by its current staff. I hope they can address these issues for future guests.

It's really classic hotel from outside to inside. If you really love the antique furnitures, you must love it. Hope the hotel can improve their modern facilities, such as USB adaptor, wifi and more electic socket in the room.

飯店給我們提早入住，並且安排高樓層的房間，飯店配置舒適優雅，住在140年的古蹟飯店裡，非常棒。飯店人員友善服務優秀，飯店位置方便到達電車與地鐵。可惜我被蟎蟲咬了、以及浴缸水龍頭水管很髒，原本想泡澡，但因為水太髒作罷。機場接送到飯店大約35-40分鐘。樓下有英式下午茶可以體驗，一個人89AU，如果有經費，推薦大家可以慢慢享用。附近離唐人街很近，離劇院也很近，大家可以安排一些劇院的文化體驗。

Clean room , lovely staff , nice atmosphere

I cannot thank your staff enough. After having our acommdation cancelled on us. Your team managed to get us a room at 8pm on a Saturday night on Melbourne Cup / Oasis weekend. Your hotel was awesome and my family really appreciate how kind you were to myself and my family.

Great location. Walking distance to museums, botanical gardens and great dining. Hotel staff very helpful. Room was clean and very comfortable. Very old world feeling.

Place is a lovely building, unfortunately its nothing really special anymore. Everyone knows the development went under and they stopped putting money into it. Rooms where decent but dated, the smell is a bit much though.

check in was quick. The welcome cocktails were a nice surprise. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was delicious. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Our recent stay at The Hotel Windsor was incredibly disappointing and far from the 5-star experience it claims to offer. While the hotel may have once been a Melbourne icon, it’s now relying on its historic reputation rather than delivering the service or standards you’d expect at this level. From the outset, the experience was riddled with issues: We were charged twice for our stay, and it took three emails and two phone calls to have the duplicate payment refunded. There was confusion about parking and poor communication overall — I had to repeatedly follow up on almost every query. Housekeeping was substandard: towels and bathmats were taken and never replaced, and the body wash and shampoo dispensers remained empty throughout our stay despite informing the front desk. After ordering room service, my husband became unwell with food poisoning–type symptoms. We were promised a bottle of bubbles to apologise for the inconveniences, but it never arrived. Despite requesting two rooms on the same level when booking, this was not honoured. We also overheard other guests complaining about the general cleanliness and how old and tired the hotel looks — sadly, we have to agree. After raising all these issues with Harry and Sahir (Front Office Managers), we were offered a refund for one night’s accommodation and our room service bill. However, almost four weeks later, we are still waiting. Although the duplicate charge was eventually refunded, that was it. Would not recommend.

Room service was brilliant delivered in traditional style .. food good , bed was comfy surroundings extremely quiet Rooms need a wee refurbishment with chairs etc with wear on arms .. needed non slip mat and a grab handle in bath /shower nothing to grab onto as bath quite deep .. speedy service on departure friendly very good .. as it was busy.. not so speedy on arrival as no other clients waiting quite disappointed on arrival not highly rated ..

Elegant old hotel is seeing its age. Could use some brightening up. The original elegance can still be felt. Staf was nice, but could use a bit more training. They look good good if their knowledge and attention to detail was better the hotel would feel better.

Beautiful old charm hotel. Great to see it well maintained.
