Friendly host and easy check-in which was appreciated after a tiring hiking trip. Easy checkout, good sized room that was clean. Nice to be able to open windows.

Reception was very friendly and helpful. Parking was easy. There are a number of steps up to the hotel from parking but there is an entrance on the side where someone could be dropped off/picked up if they couldn't manage the steps. The room was very clean and my bed was very cozy and comfortable. I walked to the park with the monkeys which was very close, then downtown and then to the gorge along the zigzag trail and back which made for a long walk but was doable!

The hotel is a beautiful historical building, up on hill (some slope to climb if not drive). A spectacular view over the city from our room on 1/F. Room is huge, and up-to-standard clean. I would suggest a more thorough cleaning of the bath tub. I like the heat light in shower room. Breakfast served is simple (I.e yoghurt, milk, cereal, pancake and bread). Please bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste and sandals (not provided by hotel). Reception staff is helpful and gave us tips on restaurants. Cleaning staff is also helpful, helped us on luggage storage. Definitely recommended, will consider this hotel again if I come back.

Great historic and lovely view in a magnificent town, Launceston N Central Tasmania. The area is filled with vineyards and top quality restaurants are numerous.
This hotel is however quite a challenge for anyone with mobility issues especially if you’re on the second floor.

Lovely room, only downside (which is on their website) is that it is upstairs with no lift so as long as you don’t mind carrying luggage up 2 flights you will be fine.
The property is close to town but up a long steep hill so you need to be prepared to walk. There is good parking around and at the property though.

As we were arriving out of hours we were given clear and detailed instructions on how to check in. We appreciated the heater being on in our room, which was very clean. The updated bathroom with a spacious bath was a highlight. Although checking out at 10am we were able to arrange with the helpful receptionist to leave our bags in our room and collect them later on the way to the airport. Would love to stay here again and upgrade to a room with a view of the River.

Wonderful accomodation, very spacious, homely and comfortable. Room was spotless, I felt like it had never been used before. Great heater and electric blanket, with plenty of tea and coffee.
